Connoisseurs of whiskey as well as those occasional sippers should book
hostels in Cape Town if they wish to attend the FNB Whiskey Live Festival that runs between 5th and 7th November 2008.
Held at the Cape Town International Convention Center, the event will feature more than 180 top brands, some of them new releases, from Scotland, Ireland, the US, Canada, Wales and Japan.
Now in its fifth year, the festival has become one of the biggest in the world, ahead of those held in London, Paris, New York, Belgium and Tokyo.
Festival visitors have 15 one-hour whisky tasting workshops to choose from. In addition, there will be a number of lectures that will run during the festival and be held in small meeting rooms. These will be hosted by whiskey experts, and will offer visitors a chance to taste whiskies not available in the main tasting hall.
