40th California International Antiquarian Book Fair
San Francisco, USA -
16 February 2007 to 18 February 2007
Over 200 rare booksellers from the US and around the world will congregate in California to participate in the country's largest rare book fair.
This fair is full of antiquarian books of all varieties, from first-edition poetry collections to rare versions of cult novels.
Every genre is well represented with specialist sellers compiling large stalls full of either specific scenes or time periods.
Be sure to look out for original editions of works by the 'beat generation', a clique of authors very much a part of San Francisco's culture.
Some of the items are priced at a few dollars, with some specialist collectibles priced at over a million.
However, if your budget is tight, you can still attend a range of seminars about featured authors and pick up a not-so startling fifth edition of Ginsberg's Howl.
