Wine celebrated in Bordeaux
Bordeaux, France -
29 June 2006 to 2 July 2006
Wine lovers will be hard pressed to find a better event than the Bordeaux Fete le Vin, to take place from June 29th to July 2nd.
The beautiful and historic French city will host a fantastic celebration of its major export, with the four-day event attracting more than 300,000 visitors.
A fabulous procession of wine-making brotherhoods will kick-start the festival, with wonderful historical costumes on display as they march to the Place de la Bourse.
Many tasting courses will be available at the Bordeaux Wine Council for those wishing to sample the numerous Aquitaine region's vintages, while wine connoisseurs can participate in a master class.
In addition, the team blind tasting event is always highly entertaining and the barrel-rolling contest is not to be missed!
Visitors can take tours around the many vineyards, enjoy live music from a range of performers and taste the local cuisine, before admiring the firework display as the festival comes to an end.
