Liked: The Hue Holiday Hotel is simply sensational. We had booked 2 nights and when we arrived, the receptionist working that evening told us there had been a mistake with their booking system and that they were in fact fully booked. She was really apologetic and said that we could stay at the nearby Canary Hotel, and that we would only have to pay our second night. We went to the Canary hotel and it was also quite nice. The following morning, we went back to the Hue Holiday Hotel, had a lovely breakfast, and were taken to our room. We had been upgraded to one of the best rooms of the hotel, and as it was their mistake regarding our booking, we only paid for a standard double room ($19). The room was fantastic, with complimentary fruits, tea and coffee, flat screen TV, as well as a computer with Internet connection. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent, it was spotless and even had a bath tub. We couldn't have hoped for a better room. If the room was fantastic, the staff were even better.They were so professional and so kind to us. They helped to make our stay a memorable and comfortable one. Breakfast was very good. You can choose anything from the menu, there is fresh fruit, coffee and tea. And from the moment you get to reception, they offer you tea, coffee, juice and fruits, every day anytime. That's really nice. The day we checked out, we were even able to take a shower before catching our evening train to Hanoi. It's little touches like this that make this hotel a sensational place to stay. There is WIFI in all the hotel and 2 computers in the reception area for guests. In a nutshell it is a very nice hotel, located in a little alley away from the noisy traffic, extremely clean and the price is very reasonable. And the staff are just amazing. They really do go the extra mile and provide astonishing customer service. If we go back to Hue, we will definitively stay at the Hue Holiday Hotel.

Liked: Staff are very helpful and friendly, they like to talk to you and ask you about your day! Breakfast is good and you can have as many options on the menu as you want all included in price! The room was very spacious and clean. The room even came with a computer which we were not expecting but was very useful whilst planning our trip. The area for the hotel is very good and felt safe whilst walking down the street. The Hotel is close to restaurants and bars and about a 10/15 minute walk to the citadel.

Liked: Excellent value for the money - staff was very aware of every individual traveller and worked hard to meet their needs. My room was perfect - the mattress very comfortable - lots of hot water - the breakfast more than enough - atmosphere always amiable and helpful - a treat to have the computers and printing available - I stayed here January 2010 and chose to stay again January 2011 as we enjoyed everything so much. Would recommend for all ages.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing - it is a wonderful place to stay.

Liked: Es el mejor de todos los hoteles en los que he estado durante un mes en Vietnam. La relacion calidad/precio excelente. Lo recomiendo de forma entusiasta por su limpieza, calidad y diversidad de los servicios (como los de cualquier hotel de cuatro estrellas en Espana) y por el trato tan amable de todo el personal.

Liked: Great rooms for that price!!! Comfortable and nice to spend time when it rains. Great laundry service.

Disliked: They sell overpriced tours you almost cannot refuse: we arrived in the morning and we got breakfast immediately, and they let us into our rooms to get a shower before check-in time, but we got the feeling they only allowed us to do all those things if we booked our Hue-tour with them (Very expensive compared to booking it yourself directly in the center).

Liked: Lovely place to stay. Although it was raining through out all our stay, we loved the place. The personnel is lovely, they will do everything for you, get you what you need a.s.a.p. Breakfast was the best in our trip in vietnam and defenitely a good value x money!

Liked: Down a back alleyway when ypou arrive, but a short walk to the river and into the heart of town. The rooms were v.spacious, we had 2 beds! They included all the amenities you needed including a dvd player.

Disliked: The bathrooms could do with a little upgrading as the bath felt a little like it might break when you showered.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and we booked a motorbike ride around Hue and our shuttle. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the facilities were great, the hotel itself is very close to the heart of everything which is very handy.

Disliked: Nothing that I dislike about the hotel, but it would have been nice to have some more outdoor area to relax.

Liked: Nice clean large room, good breakfast included, fast Internet, good bikes to hire. Nice and quiet as down a side alley off of the main road.

Disliked: Not overly helpful for independent travel as keen to promote their own tours, esp the bus to Hoi an at $65 when the sleeper bus was only $4!

Liked: Very nicely presented rooms. Nice modern bathrooms. Good breakfast though may have to wait for a table.

Disliked: Pushed a lot of tours on us. Wifi very poor to non-existent in rooms. Computers in lobby very temperamental. One bed very uncomfortable -- got bruises from the springs! Lift very very small only big enough to just fit 2 people.

Liked: The staff is extremely friendly without being pushy. Of course they advertise their tours and other services (e.g. motorbike / bicycle rentals), but in the end the customer makes the final decision. The location of the hotel is excellent, just walking distance from all the main attractions and restaurants / bars / cafes in Hue. Cleanliness was outstanding, and from my point of view the value for money unbeatable (app. 18 USD for a standard double room). As they also have a travel desk (i.e. reception at the hotel) they can easily arrange you train and bus tickets for a very fair price. We rented at the hotel a motorbike for a day, which is a fun way to explore the surrounding of Hue including the magnificent tombs and pagodas. Absolutely recommendable, both the hotel and Hue!

Liked: Only criticism is the location - every day there is a powercut from 6am - 2pm so gets very uncomfortable in the mornings to wake up to. Helpful staff and good sized room, free internet in the room - slow but workable

Liked: This is the best value hotel we have come across anywhere in the world. What you get for the price is amazing! There is a computer and DVD player in a large room that is spotless and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Spacious, clean, well-kept and high-tech rooms leaving nothing more to ask for. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in any way possible. My credit card was swallowed by an ATM next to the railway station (entirely due to my own stupidity). Upon arrival at the hostel the staff immediately called the bank and persuaded them to send an employee to give me back my card at the ATM, even though it was a Sunday and the bank was closed. Furthermore, the staff at the hostel then drove me there by scooter to help me pick up my card. LEGEND! I would definitely stay here again if I come to Hue and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offer a free pick up from the train station and were waiting for us when our train arrived. They were not too pushy with their tours, which was great compared to some of the other places we have stayed in in Vietnam. The room was clean and airy, which was wonderful. They overcharged us by 5 times the quoted price for a small amount of laundry - so watch out if you use any of their extra services.
