Liked: Room was large and quiet. Good breakfast. Staff were accommodating and organised trips, taxis, laundry at reasonable rates.

Disliked: Was a little further out from the centre than desired, but still very walkable. Pool is very small and does not seem like it was used. They served breakfast outdoors one day when it was pouring rain.

Liked: Excellent, clean and friendly little hotel, just 5 minutes walk from the old town. Gorgeous staff and the breakfast is excellent (especially the pancakes!) and is served overlooking the most tranquil rice field. We would definitely stay here again!

Liked: The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Disliked: The location meant that you had to walk 15 mins into the town and the hotel curfew made it difficult to enjoy the night life.

Liked: Great location and big rooms. We booked the Halong bay tour there and it was very good.

Disliked: Very weird breakfast area arranged in a private kitchen with only two tables there. Although the staff were making the breakfast, it felt awkward if to do something by yourself or not. Difficult to meet people believe although was not looking for any by myself.

Liked: We chose this hotel because it was recommended in the Rough Guide and had a high rating on HostelBookers. HOWEVER - we were rather disappointed and felt we had been misled, conned out of money by the dishonest staff and the hotel is overpriced for what it is. The staff are dishonest and try to overcharge you at every point, use a higher exchange rate when converting into VND or USD and also over charged us for a bus ticket which we had to go and collect ourselves anyway (which took over an hour because they told us the wrong address). On HostelBookers a standard double room is around $38 (722,000 VND) per night - when you arrive at the hotel the room rates are priced at 150,000 VND ($8!!) per night. Our room had one tiny external window. Sound travels very easily in this hotel (due to the poorly fitted windows) and if you don't want to be woken at 7a.m. every morning on your holiday by the staff shouting at each other as they prepare breakfast and start work, or as the outside traffic and horn beeping commences, then do not stay here! If you do decide to stay here, I would check your bill thoroughly and ask for things to be quoted in either VND or US$ throughout, otherwise they will use extortionately high rates (sometimes coverting things twice and therefore overcharging twice). If they do convert any prices, double check them. Also, do not book any bike hire, tour tickets or bus tickets through them - go to the travel agencies directly, as the hotel sticks a huge commission on, simply for calling their brother or sister down the road. A general tip for all hotels and restaurants in Vietnam: check your bill. We have been here for two weeks now and each restaurant has tried to overcharge us by increasing the prices of dishes. Liked: Nice hotel, contemporary decorated. Pleasant deck at the rear with terrace overloking a pond. Good , varied breakfast. Clean modern room and bathroom. Very nice and helpful staff at the reception, who arranged bus tickets etc. for us.Located within walking distance of many shops & restaurants. On the bicycle approx. 5 min. to the port area, 10 min to the quiet beach [ An Dang ] , 20 min to Cua Dai beach. Can fully recommend this hotel.

Liked: well decorated boutique hotel. breakfast buffet was good-doesn't provide many kinds, but each was not to be missed.the location is not very good, but doesn't matter very much because hoi an is a small city. everything is within walking area.bad thing about this hotel is that many staffs don't speak english very well, but they're willing to help. recommanded.

Liked: Nice property got off to a bad start, When arrived told hotel was full, found us another for the night had to walk back in morning with rucksacs on for breakfast, New receptionist on duty very apologetic as our room was reserved all along. The receptionist from the day before was sacked !!

Liked: I thought this was an excellent hotel, and probably the best we stayed in on our five week trip around Asia (I am writing this after returning home). The standard of accommodation in Hoi An is generally good but I think especially highly of this hotel.It is hard to think of a hotel in this price range in Vietnam that does better. The standard of the rooms was extremely high, and all the facilities provided worked well. I can only think of minor complaints: as is normal for Asia, the shower was set a little low for me (I'm 6' and had to crouch) and the kettle provided had nowhere to plug into. Otherwise the room was a nice size, well-furnished and well-kept, and the maids arranged the towels into different petal-strewn patterns on the beds each day which was a nice touch.The staff in general only speak rudimentary English; generally they defer to their boss, the a very kind lady who runs reception most of the time. Breakfast is very pleasant - good food, very nice setting over the fields - but ordering food at other times of the day is dependent on the staff understanding your order (this was a little bit of a problem for us at one point, when the boss wasn't in). The reception will happily arrange anything you ask them to quickly and efficiently. We arrived by overnight train and the hotel sorted out a transfer from Danang station. For our onward journey we had no prior plans, and the reception helped us sort out everything (they can do domestic flights and overnight trains and buses).The pool was an extremely welcome respite from the heat and humidity of Vietnam in August. It is small but well-situated next to the terrace.There were four computers in the lobby which provided internet access. We didn't use the wifi.We ended up making a few friends here, through casual conversation in the lobby and on the terrace at various points - we even met up with one of them in Hanoi and visited Halong bay together.All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Liked: We loved this hotel. It's located in a quiet part of town, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff extremely helpful. The hotel itself was quiet (this is not a party hotel), and the free breakfast was excellent. It was by far the best value for our money during our stay in Vietnam. We will stay here again with hesitation if we find ourselves back in Hoi An.

Liked: The staff are very friendly & nothing was too much trouble.The decor is traditional style.We had a great room with balcony at the back, overlooking paddy fields of "morning glory".It had a small swimming pool which was great for cooling off.

Liked: Great little hotel on the street where the best hotels are. The pool was perfect after a morning of fittings at the tailors and the staff were so friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile. The breakfast was delicious overlooking the rice patties, so relaxing. Our room had a balcony and was really beautifully decorated.Recommend tailors: To To Boutique for womens clothes and ADong Silk where my husband got the most gorgeous suit,

Liked: Nice and clean. Some staff members spoke perfect English, very impressed! Great room views. Breakfast at the terrace looking to the paddies was just beautiful, and those banana pancakes where amazing!!
