Liked: Everything about this hotel was great. the staff went above and beyond anything we have ever come across in all of Vietnam and other world travels. The room is of good size and nicely furnished. We appreciated the small details the hotel took care of such as .... free wi-fi, fruit basket, 2 bottles of mineral water, very clean room and bathroom, freshly cooked breakfast and it is so delicious with excellent presentation, and you get to eat as much as you like. Everyone at the hotel is genuinely making an effort to make your stay memorable. The staff is very friendly. Must stay at this hotel if you want to have unforgettable memories of Hanoi.

Disliked: There was not much trouble. We felt satisfied with our stay here. Would definitely recommend to all traveler.

Liked: We spent 2 nights at the Asia Palace 1 Hotel with my spouse and children in April 2011. The hotel delivers everything one can expect from a 3 start hotel but it is also a good place to stay with (well behaved) children. Our boys had a great time lobby and the staff there could not do enough for them. Room was so nice and very clean. Very professional service, helpful staff, delicious breakfast as well. Fantastic local restaurants within walking distance and, most importantly, a bit of fresh air after the heavily polluted and unbreathable city central. We highly recommend this hotel!

Disliked: no life but staff can carry your luggage up stair, it was not much trouble

Liked: The location is great. All of the major attractions are within walking distance. It is situated in the heart of the old city which means that great food is at your doorstep. I went to Cha Ca La Vong, a restaurant with a great fish dish during my stay. Its only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There is much to do around the hotel. The room was quite good. When the curtains were drawn open in the morning light would flood in through the tall windows. There was plenty of hot water. The beer in the minibar is only a dollar a can. Water and coke are even less. It was great to enjoy a very cold drink in your room at the end of the day for such a low price. The staff was especially helpful, courteous and welcoming and made the entire stay a very pleasant and memorable one.

Liked: The staff are really friendly and went out of their way to help us organise transport south. We ended up at the wrong hotel as they have two quite close together but they sent someone round to get us and help carry our bags.

Disliked: There was really much opportunity to talk to other guests as the only really community area is at breakfast. Everyone else just passes through as the communal area is seats in reception.

Liked: Location is perfect. Walking distance to all the touristic attractions. Rooms are fantastic! The bed was super comfortable. The bathrooms were big and beautiful. Service and food all top drawer. The breakfast is very good and cooks to order is quick to arrive .Extremely and highly recommended. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Liked: This hotel has excellent staff. If you need anything just calls them and they will bring directly to your rooms. My boy friend’s was sick and they helped us go to see doctor. We were very touched with them. That’s nice memory and we will never forget. Our room was quite big with all modern conveniences. The toilet was clean and nice. Hotel location inside old quarter. It’s very easy for us to go around .We felt really enjoyed in this time. For us it’s best choice. It just like home. Thank for everything

Liked: Good location. Good value for money. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely presented room.

Liked: We stayed here for 3 nights and the rooms and hotel staffs were fantastic. The cheaper rooms are quite small, but very comfortable and clean. The larger rooms are also very comfortable and i would definitely stay here again. We booked a transfer to the Airport and that was good value and organised through the hotel.There are 3 computers at the lobby with free internet. That's good! The hotel is close to everything, and is a short walk to the lake. Breakfast was amazing, very large meals with many selections and again great service. The staff was very nice and always happy to help and give out useful information. I would recommend anyone stay here as a thank to their services.

Liked: The comfortable and friendly atmosphere within the hotel along with the central location .We would certainly go back to your hotel for our next visit as it provided everything one could ask for. The room was very clean and they have safe box in the room.the room have window and really goo fresh air. Toilet was so clean and brand new.Daily buffet provides with variety choice for breakfast. we really enjoyed that and really comfortable when staying here. Strongly recommend to all people when you want to stay in the center of old quarter. I was very happy when we stayed here. Thank for the service of the hotel and best regards! We loved your hotel.

Liked: We began to wonder if this point was a good idea, hotel staff rushed out to help get our luggage, we went into the lobby is cool and stylish, and welcome to a cold drink. Suddenly, things look much brighter! We have set a base, was on the top floor, with a balcony and views over the terrace. The rooms are large in size, but with more capacity than our bedroom at home, one, big comfy beds, liquid crystal televisions. Free tea , 2 free water bottle,a plates of fruit, and a great shower. All the furniture looked new, and it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast offers a good choice and freshly cooked. Clean. Asia Palace 1 hotel is right in the heart of the Old City attractions, but makes for a comfortable retreat from the bustle and relax all. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful, and all the reception staff speak good English. They sorted out a problem with arranging travel Halong Bay (not our registered through them), very effective. The hotel was excellent value, and we just can not fault it in any way. I will be happy to recommend for anyone, and we look forward to again in the future. Many thanks all the staff!

Liked: The staff at the Asia Palace hotel Hanoi 1 could not have been more helpful during our stay. The breakfast each morning was a combination of Asian and Western foods, which was cooked freshly in front of you. The staff helped arrange our visits to Halong Bay and Sapa at prices that compared with what we had seen around town. When we were away, they happily looked after our excess baggage which was a bonus for us. The room was clean and large and any maintenance requests were dealt with. Travellers have to remember that whilst it is not 5 stars hotel , when it comes to value for money, it is extremely good.

Liked: Vietnam is our mother land and we migrated in 1985 to New Zealand to live there. Here is the first time all my family come back to Vietnam and see our relatives and want to visit Ha long , We heard a lot but up to now we have enough time and money to back home land and visit Ha long and Sapa. We stayed few days in Asia palace hotel Hanoi 1 and then go to Ha long and back again after that we go to Sapa for 1 week. Hotel people here are very friendly and very kind. We got 2 family rooms with 8 people . The room is very large and very clean, bath room is very nice and hot water is perfect.We got very nice food for breakfast and very good rice noodle. We will come back on October, 2010 and we also made reservation with Patrick Lee Most of all we want to say very nice hotel and helpful staffs.

Liked: My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights at Asia Palace Hotel Hanoi 1 and would highly recommend this hotel as it is in the centre of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. We arranged our stay via email and their communication skills were excellent. We booked the Halong Bay trip and Sapa and Bac Ha trip via email with the hotel. All trips went as planned and nothing was too much for them to help you with, they even met us on our return journey from the train at 5:30 am back from Sapa. When we arrived back at the hotel they gave us a hotel room for a few hours to shower and relax before going to the airport at 9:00am with free of charge. While we were away on the trips we left our main luggage at the hotel free of charge as well.The buffet breakfast was good and food is available most of the day and the food was of an excellent standard.The room is very beautiful , very clean and cozy with very lovey bathroom.The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and always smiling and very welcoming - it was always nice to return.

Liked: The hotel was in the old part of town, which is very different from the new part. But it's real and that's why I travel, to see the real city, not the tourist city. The hotel is clean. The rooms are big and the beds comfortable. We didn't have any hot water on our last morning, not sure why. No elevator, so might be difficult for people to walk up to i.e 6th floor if they have disablilities or difficult walking. One thing I didnt like about the hotel is that they are very insisting that you buy a tour through them. And we were sitting in the lobby loocking at hotels and the guy said that he could help us find a hotel. All in all, clean, good location and I would recommend it!

Liked: When we arrived late at night, the manager was doing something obscene in front of the reception computer. He was slightly unfriendly, probably because he was caught off guard. In the morning, he did give wrong directions to a cooking class we were to attend. We decided to take a taxi to the correct location on the other side of the city. His staff was very friendly, they helped us whenever we required assistance.The room we got was fantastic. Clean and spacious. There was an flat screen TV on the wall, with 3 huge beds. It was a very nicely presented room. The stairway to the higher floors could pose a problem for those with large heavy baggage, get the porter to carry them up for you. Breakfast was pretty good, could do with a wider range of food, however it's satisfactory. I would recommend staying there, but probably at Asia Palace 2, which is just 2 minutes down the road.

Liked: In Vietnam it's very difficult to discern honest tour operators from dishonest ones. The Halong Bay tour arranged by Asia Palace 1 hotel delivered everything that was promised. I was delighted with the itinerary, food, service, and value for money and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and tour. The only thing that was a little troubling, is that the hotel did not acknowledge that I had paid a 10% deposit at the time of booking online through HostelBookers. When I pointed this out, they revised the bill to reflect the deposit. The same thing happened to another guest, so I would suggest that HostlBookers remind the hotel of this fact so that guests don't get charged full price when paying their bill.

Liked: Our first trip to Vietnam (2 days Halong Bay , 3 days in Sapa and 4 days Hanoi) had indeed been memorable. Our host from Asia Palace hotel Hanoi 1 (Ms Huyen and her staffs) were amazing and extremely helpful during our stay in Hanoi; from advice on what to do, where to go and what local delicacies to indulge in. Our room was also very spacious and clean and very lovely bathroom with nice bath-tub and had great showers...no problem with hot water. There are small refrigerators in the rooms filled with water, soda and beer. The beer was only $1.00. Great price for Minibar.We used there laundry service which was great. The location is perfect. There are 3 computers are in the lobby with free access.They gave us free transportation to and from our train trip to Sapa, and also provided early check-in for no charge on our return from Sapa.We paid $32/nt for our rooms which was well worth it. It included breakfast also. We also took advantage of there airport pick-up/return which I would recommend. It's a bit of a drive out to the airport.I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to others.

Liked: We have ben traveling fo 8 months and found this place one of the best hotels/hostels we have stayed in. The staff are extremely helpful, breakfast is delicious, the rooms are massive and clean and the beds are very comfortable. We booked a tour to Halong Bay through the hotel and the tour was also fantastic and good value for money. Upon our return from the bay we were offered a hot shower before departing for our night train (its the little things). I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back if in Hanoi again.

Liked: Thanks for all the time stayed in the ASIA PALACE I HOTEL . we had a really good time on our vacation in Vietnam. I and my family were very happy during staying at this hotel . The hotel was so nice , very clean from up to down . The room was very beautiful , lovely bath-tub .we got so good weather there and we had time in Halong and Sapa was so great and so beautiful time. We thank to Patrick Lee sale manager ,helped my family so much , gave us big promotion from the tours. He was so kind and so helpful that made all us felt very satisfied. Liked: ASIA PALACE 1 HOTEL was so nice with service of great take care customers and doing well job. I and my wife really enjoyed and liked it The room was very very clean, cozy and Full up useful equipments, that much differences compare with the other ones. They have free complimentary water, tea coffee very day and fresh fruits. they have elictric kettle flowers, Safe ..... many thing that very helpful for both travelers or business. That made me like the room so much.Almost of customers are tourists so this place is a good one to meet orhters people all over the world.Location is perfect and convenient to walk around near by the Lake , night market , and restaurantsVery good for valueBrand new hotel is much changes with the model of the hotel before really good one and very nice hotel.We would be happy to recommend to all people around the world.
