Liked: "The World Hotel" is an ideal place for budget traveller's (the cheapest in Hanoi!)I spend 3 Nights in there and enjoyed much. The rooms are clean, breakfast is inclouded and you get free drinks (Water, Juice) as much as you want.

Disliked: saitan left no negative feedback.

Liked: This is the second hostel i\'ve stayed in Hanoi. It\'s nice staffs. My room is 109 with 02 beds, hot water, wifi in room,two-way airconditioner, comfortable bathtubs,, free breakfast, clean... >>> I will be back on the next time coming to Hanoi.

Liked: - Exceptional hotel. They provide you welcome drink and snack. They assist you to your room. The rooms look like a 2-star hotel. They have the most helpful staff who assists you about tours, pick-up, restaurant, laundry and such. Very good location, very close to all the landmarks you want to see. Good Hotel

Liked: Our room , located at the back of the building, was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfasts and were particularly pleased with the wonderful advice and help we received from Mr. David and welcoming staff in planning our trips to Hoi An, Sapa and Cat Ba Island and Halong Bay. Liked: An old property in the heart of the old quarter, it was not without it's quirks but it was clean and tidy and value for money. Good free breakfast and tea/coffee too!

Disliked: To be expected the internet is slow. Also watch out for room 101!

Liked: my stay at THE WORLD HOTEL was amazing, THE WORLD was excellent location,just 3 minutes to the Lake and many bar. i was surprise when too many guests staying at this hotel, too crowded,busy and funny. guests traveling here coming from all over the world, we meet each other and share travel experiences. Almost the staffs were friendly and effusive, they always at the lobby and ready to help anything for tourist.don't forget book tour at hotel and they will give you the best price ..... GOOGD . GOOD i LOVE THE WORLD HOTEL

Disliked: it was an excellent time for me to stay there, staffs were so frriendly and they eager to help, i booked a booked a basic room but got a deluxe room with window for FOC. breakfast with bread and eggs also, i now still stayed at hotel for 2nites to discover Hanoi and then go to Halong Bay trip which i booked at the hostel.

Liked: it was an excellent stay ever at THE WORLD HOTEL ,my room was very clean and big enough for my budget and suitable for a long stay, breakfast was also ok. and the female staff helped to book a good trip to around Hanoi and Halong Bay. i will come back here in the next month for my job in Hanoi as an English teacher

Disliked: its a nice stay in here, place is quite good and the old quater, hOAN kien lake is within walk distance. people who live here should be caution about the tourist service they provide, they may charge more than reasonable

Liked: The hotel is reasonably well located in respect of its proximity to the old quarter however it is down a back alley which was no problem during the day however was not a comfortable walk home after dark. The room was clean.

Disliked: I also struggle to understand how this property has received so many positive reviews. I should have listened to the other feedback as it was all correct. There were numerous rats in the ceiling, the decor of the hotel is very run-down and the air-conditioner did not work. It was not terrible just not a pleasant place to stay and we moved after the first night. If you are on an extreme budget and don't want to stay in a hostel might be the place for you but otherwise would not reccomend.

Liked: I really enjoyed the breakfast, toasted baguette with jam and butter, fast wifi (i love to download movies!), pretty decent location - 2 mins from hoan kiem lake (plus near a supermarket although it's hidden away)... oh and the thing I love the most is the free beer hour... not particularly for the beer (although the drinks at the bar are very cheap because it's just a hostel bar) - but because travelers who are from all over just mix together and chat and share their experiences and it's just fantastic because the beer and cheap drinks (compared to full on bars/nightclubs) is perfect for meeting new people and getting a little tipsy while chatting away to some French bird talking about Dijon... or some Italian guy who just went to Ha Long Bay... Overall I pretty much liked everything. Cheap overall price too.

Disliked: I guess if I had to point anything out I'd say that the music at the bar was so mainstream and generic... all like rnb stuff and they even played Justin Bieber at one point but I kind've loved that because the public out roar brought everyone together!

Liked: e stayed four days in total. the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good english. hanoi is lovely, the lake is nice to visit and street food is delicious. it is on a good street which gets quiet later at night. sometimes difficult to find when walking due to hanoi's streets looking similar and the fact that the porch area is named rainbow hotel whilst the hoan kiem grand hotel is only sighted directly in front. lot of stairs but keeps you fit!!!

Disliked: Staff here are nice and friendly and will help you organise tours - bargain with them to get a good price. Not a whole lot to do in hanoi so a night here before and after trips is perfect.

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff. Booked a trip to Cat Ba Island through them which was excellent value (after speaking to others on the trip from different hotels). Free breakfast was good, as were the free drinks all day. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wifi connection was quick. Location was good.

Liked: amazing staff, good breakfast, certain drinks free all day, very nice location and close to the bus station bound to the airport, so no need to take a taxi, had a balcony as well, finally hot showers in Vietnam :P

Liked: Cheap guesthouse in de middle of the tourist centre. We are 3 brothers traveling around asia for a half year. It's nice to find a cheap private room with tv and private space for a very good price!

Disliked: It's a little bit dificult to communicate with the staff.

Liked: The location and value for money was good, breakfast was good for the price.

Disliked: The cleanliness wasn't great, we had to remind the staff to change the sheets after the previous guests and the room was cold and a bit damp but is often the case in Vietnam.

Liked: staff were really helpful. Free breakfast in the morning as well as free tea/ coffee all day. Good location, right next to night market on the weekends.

Disliked: woken up by rats in the ceiling. a bit scary when your half asleep.
