Liked: Hanoi Phoenix was in a good location and offered a good breakfast. We arrived early in the morning from the night train from Sapa and once we finally realised that the 'Hanoi Phoenix 2' no longer existed and made our way to the 'Hanoi Phoenix' we were able to check in straight away.

Disliked: The fact that we were never told about the 'Hanoi Phoenix 2' no longer existing was an absolute joke. They did not give us a discount despite us walking around for nearly 1hr at 5am. Allegedly the 'Hanoi Phoenix I and II share a website, and also the registration details for hostelbookers which they claim is the reason they are currently unable to remove any reference to Hanoi Phoenix II.

Liked: For the money one would obviously not expect 5 star standard but I have seen better for the same amount in Vietnam. The place was, on the whole, clean and tidy. Though due to it being a bit rainy the room was cold and damp. However, the shower was powerful and hot which helped! The breakfast was an omelette and baguette which was substantial and tastey, although we were forced to eat on one of two crowded tables sat on top of other people.

Liked: We stayed at the Hanoi Phoenix II hotel on our first night in Vietnam....The staff where so friendly and helpful. We were leaving the next day for Sapa and we booked a tour to Halong Bay through the hotel on our return to Hanoi. Our train arrived at 4.30am the day we had booked the tour and we were offered by staff to come back to the hotel and have a shower and breakfast for free before being picked up for Halong Bay. We conseqently booked a second night on our return from Halong Bay. The location was great too. Central to everything in the Old Quater. We were given a map of places to explore and we even got told where the cheapest best beer to drink was. We stayed in many styles of accomadation during our stay in Vietnam ranging from backpackers to 5 star resorts. Hanoi Phoenix II was one of the best places we stayed in regards to location and friendliness and helpfullness of staff.

Liked: We only stayed for one night, but a very frienfly and helpful staff. If you have a room on the top floor, wearing earplugs could be a good idea, as the water pump on the roof tends to 'gurgle'.

Liked: This hotel help me feel like my home ,enthusiatic ,friendly ,helpfull always here,Hotel located in center of the Old Quarter,so this is the best choice for tourist, i did some trips with them and they worked very well

Liked: I booked this hotel for 1 nights but after i stayed 3 nights ,it is perfect hotel,near everything restaurant, shops .All people here like family tea and coffee is available downstair until 9 pmRoom clean and quite ,breakfast many option but i like noodle the bestI will come back here again for sure
