Liked: very friendly staff

Disliked: I dont know if we had just the worst room, but for that price we found a lot better hostels.

Liked: yeah, room is big and also bed is comfortable and big. the room so clean

Liked: Very very helpful and friendly staff who went to every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Fantastic location, close to the old quarter and lake area. Do not be put off by the back alley entrance as the rooms are beautifully done out and spotlessley clean. Overall excellent hotel and very good value for money.

Liked: Great, helpful staff. Very clean and nice room and bathroom. The location is excellent. I had the room with lake view( close to everything, ...) and I would definitely recommend it.

Liked: Great location and the staff is amazingly helpful! I booked our Halong Bay tour through Hanoi Guesthouse and it was an unforgetable experience! Thank you!

Liked: The staff assisted us to book tours, provided security for our extra luggage while we were away on tours, and on the last day after we had booked out provided a room for us to shower and rest before arranging a taxi back to the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable, if a little noisy in the evening.I would recommend The Democracy Hotel to anyone, nothing seemed to be too much trouble and they made our stay in Hanoi very pleasant. Value for our money, absolutely!

Liked: The location is brilliant as central as you can get. Staff have changed in the last few months, not quite as friendly as the previous staff but still quite good. Breakfast used to be included but now isn't. On the positive side I got a better room then last time and there were no plumbing problems that I experienced last year
