Liked: Good location only 5 minutes walk north of Dupont Metro, and within walking distance of Shaw and Adams-Morgan. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good as well.

Disliked: Lighting in the room was very dim - almost impossible to see anything at night and certainly not enough to read by. Apart from that no real issues - everything was as expected and the description on here is fairly accurate with what to expect, in my opinion. Also no lockers in room.

Liked: Friendly staff, clean and safe. I would never expected TV in hostel shared room. Awesome breakfast..toasts, bagels, variety of jams, Philadelphia cream cheese... If I visit DC again I would definitely stay over here. The internet acces in the room. Definitely worth for price you pay!!

Disliked: The Interent acces crashed in the morning. I was in 6 dorm female room and my roommates kept overheating the room. It was hard to breath in there. They were from Middle /South America...so they are probably used to diferent weather and I know that staff couldn't have helped me with that. The AC is quite noisy.

Liked: Flexibility with check-in and check-out and very helpful and friendly administrator. And of course the price is very cheap. I loved to stay there and advised already to my friends!

Liked: Immaculately clean. Very nice helpful staff... accommodated us even when I accidentally booked the wrong night, helped us find the best ways around town, etc. Hostel is very quiet and in a very beautiful part of town.

Liked: Cleanliness. Breakfast is better than the average of hostel. Location is acceptable but not very close to the metro.

Disliked: No lock box for the visitor. The air condition in the share room was very noisy. The breakfast wasn't ready on time.

Liked: it was very clean.

Disliked: I was arranged to the other location, stayed at a four-bed dorm but actually I booked a private double room. Its inconvenient to walk to the hostel for breakfast in the morning, and at Saturday night, it was so loud.. people seemed having a party, played music like hell at one of the rooms, smoking, I tried to call the reception but no one answer and actually no one was there..,

Liked: Most of the staff was really friendly. It's close to Dupont Circle for food, shops and Metro access. The room was small, but very clean and well put together. Free internet made it easier to plan activities and keep up with work emails. It felt v ery private and hidden away. I looked forward to coming back to the room at night.

Disliked: No ice machine. I was in a front facing room and the noise the first night was terrible; but was fine the next night. You only see other people if you are around for breakfast--otherwise the building design doesn't allow for much interaction. The huge windows let in light, but need to be further insulated. They washed the towels every day, but didn't return all of them. Minor issues---none of which would keep me from going back.

Liked: i stayed for a long time, so the offer me the possibility to have the appartment (with kitchen) instead of the room, for the same price

Disliked: kitchen without any dishes to cook, that's not very practical !

Liked: Most of the staff was amazingly friendly, very helpful, and knew the area. The man I dealt with most knew tips on getting around the city on a budget and pointed me in the right directions. He made the place feel like home. The other guests of the hostel were very friendly. The location was ideal, close to the metro station and in a very safe-feeling, beatiful part of Washington DC.

Disliked: Everything was great! I wanted to stay longer!

Liked: the location was great, Dupont Circle is minutes from this location. I came here for work, and the convenience was great.

Disliked: This hostel had bed bugs. I expressed the concern to owner, and he didn't even look at my bites and told me they were mosquitos, and that the hostel was clean. I was given no compensation. While staying there, did meet a new friend that was also felt like the owner was running a shady business, no giving receipts, charging extra. He's VERY friendly, but some of the best crooks are.

Disliked: There was no reception when I arrived after 23 pm! In the morning there was no breakfast, because there was nobody! Do not go there, the only thing was that it was clean!

Liked: it was clean and spacy, located in a friendly and save neighboorhood with only a short walk to the next subway station. the hotel offered room service and also laundry service (for a small fee)

Disliked: upon arrival they told us that the main hostel was full and that we get to stay in some other building a few blocks away....it was a little unusual since we had a reservation but all in all wasn't a big deal....the apartment we got instead was pretty good! :)

Liked: Nice and clean, good size room with a comfortable bed, everything was working in the room, good AC. Great location! Staff was very friendly and helpful, we'd come back here any time. Very good value for money.

Liked: The dorm is lush, beds are super comfy and the en suite bathrooms are nice and come with shampoo and towel etc. There's free computer and internet use

Disliked: The neighbourhood is fine but a longer walk to the metro than other hostels Breakfast is crazy early and had some disgusting buteer bagel things. The staff weren't overly helpful and one was actually quite rude. There's zero communal space, aside from the reception lobby
