The owner and maid were really nice and accommodating. It isn't bad for an SRO. I mean, it isn't as nice as a chain hotel but it was really cheap, not disgusting, and available when everything else was booked. Cable.

The Gateway Inn is situated near all major San Francisco attractions and is less than 15 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 making it the perfect pace to stay when visiting San Francisco.
The Gateway Inn offers both smoking and non-smoking guest rooms that are both comfortable and clean. All 36 rooms feature an extended stay facility and come equipped with direct dial telephones with data ports and remote controlled color television with free cable with HBO. Some rooms are ensuite and some have common bathrooms.
Location Information
From the doorstep, you can catch a trolley car to Downtown San Francisco, Cable Cars, Fisherman's Wharf, Fort Mason, Golden Gate Bridge, and fashionable Union Street with enticing shops, galleries and restaurants. Also close by is the San Francisco Zoo and Cliff House.
