Disliked: The housekeeper put my fd's towel on the floor in the restroom as a carpet for drying foot after shower. It's ridiculous!

Liked: just the general friendliness of everyone i have met, the area is a very spanish/latino part of town, but it brings a uniqueness unlike that of a more central downtown hostel. I loved the free bagel.. and on a friday and saturday night its a party atmosphere, with the sky terrace hosting a good party, with decent music!

Disliked: there wasnt really much to dislike, you pay for what you get, the area wasnt the best but like i said it gives you a different viewpoint on things,seeing an area like the mission 24 hours a day is great in many aspects

Liked: there is a great sky roof bar! the rooms were clean and u cant deny the price!

Liked: Convenient location. Beds were reasonably comfortable.

Disliked: Bathroom was mildewy. Did not see blankets as part of linen availability.

Liked: It was pretty cheap and quite clean

Disliked: Lack of atmosphere, VERY slow internet, breakfast was terrible, staff were rude and unhelpful (at one point I had to speak Spanish to one of them because she didnt understand English), the light in our bathroom broke and it took them all day to fix it, there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night and not a single member of staff came to tell us what was happening or apologise in the morning (it was due to the smoke from the club next door). I've stayed in a lot of hostels in my time and this may be one of the worst.

Liked: Free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out; nice neighborhood for going out, nice bars and breakfast places, also a lot of discount stores around.

Disliked: I often had to have my keycard reactivated; no kitchen, just a microwave; had no wifi in the room, i had to go downstairs to the restaurant to get internet access.

Liked: Clean.

Disliked: There was a firealarm in the night (3 am). We all went out side and waited for the fire brigade who turned the alarm off so we could go back in. We saw no and where not contacted by staff while this happened or the night after. Also the breakfast consist of bagels, butter and tea/coffe. Nothing else, no jam, no plates, nothing!

Liked: The price

Disliked: The staff was never there, and hard to help . There were many problems with the rooms, lots of people coming in the hostel even if they didn"t have a reservation.

Liked: Not much area is pretty cool but a little seedy

Disliked: They have a problem with bed bugs and keeping the rooms clean. If you are looking to meet fellow hostelers this is not the place to go as there is a complete lack of communal areas. A shame could be an excellent hostel with only a little effort

Liked: Located right on Mission street, so it's easy to access many things in SF. It's also a relatively affordable area for food (the taquerias are great).

Disliked: Sheets were bloodstained. Towels were mildewed and stained. Toilet seat was not screwed on the toilet. Cabinet hinge was missing. We were on the third floor and were woken up in the middle of the night and again early in the morning by the sound of furniture being dragged around for at least 20-30 minutes. The upstairs and downstairs bars are open until 2 am and the hostel is right on Mission street, one of the busiest streets in the city (although this particular block is somewhat quieter), so this is not a good place to stay for good rest.

Liked: Location was ok.

Disliked: The breakfast, only sugar, no real milk for the coffe. Terrible noice from nightclub and restaurant in the same buildning. Very limited internetaccess. Uncharming room and unfriendly staff.

Liked: The hostel has a great location in the heart of the mission district. It's close to BART and buses run by frequently. the neighborhood seems safe even in the night especially compared to the Tenderloin. The rooms are nice and big. you get access to the beautiful roof and the bar on weekends downstairs. overall it's a decent hostel for a good price in an awesome neighborhood!

Disliked: no lockers in the room I had to insist on getting blankets - they said they were out of it! bathroom wasn't cleaned one day. breakfast is just a bagel. got wrong information about BART from one of the receptionists - he said it wasn't running so early in the morning and wanted to call me a cab but it was running! people going up to the roof can go into the hostel floor - i didn't have a problem but it might be a security problem

Liked: I like the value for money and the staff - they're very helpful

Disliked: The location - it was very loud at nights, because of the traffic and clubs.

Liked: location is convenient

Disliked: my whole body is full of bed bug bites. I never experienced anything like that and even for this prize you should be able to expect a level of cleanness. Cleaning the rooms once a week at the most is just not enough and obviously insanitary!

Liked: rooms look modern beds look robust although didn't get chance to sleep in one

Disliked: bed bugs breakfast is a bagel and coffee/tea area not great, had to travel a distance into town for any of the tourist attractions so decided to move hostel

Disliked: No kitchen or common room, not much atmosphere or chance to meet other travellers
