Liked: Clean, good proximity to the city however the nighbourhood is a little rough although no issues.

Disliked: When guests came home drunk and noisey at 3am and continued to make noise for another 2 hours, staff did nothing despite multiple calls to reception. This and a lack of communication between staff was very disappionting. Included breakfast was limited also.

Liked: Hotel itself was very, very nice. Room was lovely, staff was helpful, breakfast room had amazing view. Free shuttle was very convenient!

Disliked: Hotel is located smack-dab in the middle of the worst neighborhood in town. There is a homeless shelter between the hotel and Union Square (the staff will recommend safer walking routes), but the walk between Civic Center BART and the hotel was seriously sketch.

Disliked: They charge me 175$ for scarp blanket.

Liked: Its clean and friendly look, facilities and good breakfast.Free shuttle bus to main places in San Fransisco.

Disliked: Area that it was in. Ellis Street, and a 2 block square around the hotel was a dangerous area the hotel in room guide even suggested this and the free shuttle to Union Sq said it all as Union Sq was only 6 blocks away.

Liked: THE HOTEL IS EXCELLENT. ITS CLEAN AND MODERN. IT IS NEAR THE CENTRE OF THE CITY, WHERE ARE ALL THE MALL AND STORES. THE PROBLEM IS THAT AROUND THE HOTEL IS FULL OF HOMELESS. ALTHOUGH, I WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

Liked: It was newly renovated, super clean, had computers and printers accessible 24hrs a day, has a fitness center. My sister and I purchased a bottle of wine but didn't have a corkscrew opener. We called the front desk around midnight and they found us 2 different corkscrew openers that we could use. Only thing I recommend and they tell you this at the hotel too: when walking to the hotel walk up Powell St from Market St, turn left on Geary St (not Ellis) walk to Hyde St make right, then make a right on Ellis St. This way you avoid some shady areas. :) HostelBookers offers such a great price, even the women at the front desk commented on it.

Liked: The front desk people are very helpful, especially Armando.. The location is a little questionable, it was quite scary walking up Ellis St to the hotel. It was not until we arrive were we told that it is best to walk up the next block up and then cut back down to the hotel. The hotel also offers free shuttles too and from Union Square and the Fishermans Wharf so you don't even have to walk at all. I also looked up how much it was for the room on the Cova website and hostlebookers saves us about $30 US.
