Liked: NOTHING

Disliked: Terrible location! This hotel describes itself as being in Philadelphia but it is in New Jersey. Neighborhood is rough, a local told us we shouldn't go to the train station because it is unsafe so the only transport into Philly was a $30 taxi ride. In the guest book in the hotel it says not to leave your valuables in the hotel room. It says that safety deposit boxes are available at the reception. When we approached the reception staff, they told us that they don't offer that service... Which brings me to the staff. So RUDE. Don't expect friendly or helpful service here! The grounds of the hotel were very run down. The photos on the website are clearly from years ago. The pool was slimy and the gym smelt very strongly of ciggerettes and the machines were ancient.

Liked: Swimming pool, nice bedroom

Disliked: Location...NOT suitable for backpackers....is actually in NEW JERSEY NOT PHILADELPHIA. Took us 3 hours to work out how to get a bus there from philadelphia bus station.

Liked: Good. clean. facilities avaliable.

Disliked: Location is aweful. it is not in philadelphia! It is in new jersey! Takes an hour on the coach to get to philly.

Liked: Cleanliness

Disliked: Approachable only by car and very far away from Philly, despite of the description of the hotel itself. Very misleading for backpackers travelling by bus.

Liked: Good sized rooms and well furnished for the price, decent breakfast available, shuttle to down town Philly every morning and back again in the night.

Disliked: Had a unsafe feel about it (having said that we had no problems), the other guests who stayed then when we did all seemed to have attitude problems, the location for visiting down town Philadelphia is not good whatsoever, $30 taxi ride from train station, we used the shuttle to visit independance park etc which was free and the driver was really nice but we had to wait till 9pm to get picked up which was a bit nerve wrecking as there were lots of dodgy people about. All in all, if I visited Philadelphia again (which is unlikely) I would pay extra to stay down town.

Liked: Very close to Philadelphia and easy access to hotel off of the interstate

Disliked: Not in a great neighborhood, did not have hot water in the shower, not well kept... landscaping was horrible, grass hadn't been mowed in weeks, lots of stuff was in need of better upkeep and repair

Liked: All things. I met peoples of the staff in this hotel. All are polites ;) I liked to play snooker and of the bar smiles. But the room and bathroom are great! All is good!
