Liked: Men who shouldnt had keys to my room and tried to get in but the bolt stopped them. Huge security issues inmy opinion. The kitchen is rubbish. The location is rough!!!! Be warned, I've been approached no end By homeless on streets around the hostel.

Liked: Best hostel I stayed in US so far, it s situated in the same building than a very nice hotel, so they are sharing part of the reception and visibly the quality of service. Recommend it 100% if you need a location in downtown L.A

Liked: I loved that it was downtown LA as I got to attend the Art walk and I could reach pretty much any location with the tube.

Liked: I liked this place. Cool accessories in the room.

Disliked: I got two unexpected 4am wakeup calls. 1st night the radio alarm clock came on at full volume at 4am which scared the life out of me. Then next night I was awoken to someone knocking on my door. I looked at my mobile phone and it was 4am again which really spooked me. I looked through the spy hole and saw it was a security guard. So I opened the door. He just said 'sorry' and walked away, so I don't know what is going on. I felt quite scared. So I didn't get mucg sleep which was a pain as I had a job interview the next day.

Disliked: downtown LA is horrible, wish the hotel was in a better location as downtown is a disgrace!

Liked: Rooms were very clean, free use of internet and continental breakfast were excellent perks.

Disliked: Not in the best neighborhood--walking to the bus stop was a little frightening early in the morning.

Liked: The room was excellent. One bunkbed, bigger than single size mattresses, very clean, TV, washbasin, radio in room. More like a hotel room than a hostel.

Disliked: The bathroom had no mirror and no window, felt very dingy. The breakfast was simply sugary cereal with loads of E numbers. There was also no proper area to sit and eat breakfast, literally one two seater sofa.

Liked: The rooms were awesome! Stayed in a double private with its own toilet and showers were just outside the door. Decor was my favourite, it was very chic and cool.

Disliked: The location wasnt great, Downtown L.A was a bit of a dive but it didnt take long to get to the metro or into a more friendly area of town. Also the breakfast was a bit of a letdown, sugar coated rainbow sugar is not a cereal!

Liked: I loved the central location. The reasonable prices of restaurants in the area and of course the value for the money. Unbeatable in the downtown LA area.

Liked: Excellent value for money in Los Angeles ($40 for a double room). Room clean and tidy and provided with towels and free toiletries. Close to metro and excellent bus service nearby. Lots of eating/drinking places and definately worth a visit is Louie Bottega restaurant/deli/cake shop. Not rock bottom cheap but food amazing and all portions huge so can share between 2/3 of you. Looks dead posh but they dont turn their nose up at you (we were in jeans and hoodies). Both times we have been there they have given us free cakes/biscuits to take away too!!

Liked: The most comfortable bed away from home! Thanks for a great LA experience, even though we were put in a private with a shared bathroom instead of what we originally booked, the staff were absolutely accomodating and apologetic despite the plumbing problems being out of their control! The housekeepers were lovely and tidied the room everyday. We'll definitely be recommending this to our mates.
