Liked: Super close to the souqs. Very convenient airport transfers both ways. Hot water showers and breakfast included. Great value for the money.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Amazing loved the property and even undercharged us the price on hostelbookers. airport transfers were fantastic as was the breakfast and the restaraunt shaped like a train it has is the best indian ive ever had!! swiming pool is lovely and the aircon is perfect!

Disliked: nothing!!

Liked: Being a proper hotel, it has beautiful private rooms with ensuite, tv, fridge etc. A bellboy, 24 hours reception, shuttle to and from airport, juice on arrival.

Disliked: A bit far to walk from the metro especially as its so hot, and business centre closes early

Liked: prximity to centre of Dubai

Disliked: TV not positioned so you could see from bed. Electric jug cord not long enough. Had to get extension from staff. Need to have tourist booklets in lobby.

Liked: Location is very good for Old Dubai. It's less ideal if you're primarily interested in New Dubai, but it's an easy walk to the museums, fort, Dubai Creek, souqs, etc. Free airport pickup was a great bonus. There was also a free hot and cold breakfast buffet, which was not advertised, and a pleasant surprise. Internet access is only available from the second floor lounge, not from your room, but that is a free and comfortable place to work. Room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge, iron, hair dryer, tea and coffee, television with several international channels, clothesline in the bathroom if you want to do laundry. On the whole, a really great experience.

Disliked: Really nothing. If you're mostly interested in New Dubai, the location is not great because it is a bit far to walk to the metro for those places. But for Old Dubai it is wonderful. It's really not a backpackers place at all, but the price is not much more expensive than many hostels cost, and you get a lot more for that money. If you're looking to meet other backpackers, you won't find them there, but I think that's probably true of any other hotel in Dubai.

Liked: Staff were very helpful. Airport transfer is a great facility. In fact the other facilities are excellent, tea/coffee making facilities in room, all toiletries, hair dryer (if I had enough hair I may have tested it), free wifi on mezzanine level, decent breakfast selection etc etc. Definately way above what I am normally used to for staing in hostels and cheap hotels and I have been travelling now for 2years. Seems to be cheap for Dubai.

Disliked: By the way Dubai is not really for backpackers. OK for quick stopover or flight transfers, otherwise you need plenty of money. A bit soleless with little character and more like Las Vegas of middle east. Some people complained about distance of metro from Hotel. Its true that its not pleasent in the dubai heat. But then again there are lots of other hotels in the same area and the walk from the other metro stations to the various attractions in Dubai are at least the same distace if not further.

Liked: Free airport shuttle. Free buffet breakfast. Clean, large room which was nice and quiet despite building works next door. Good price.

Disliked: The airport shuttle was late to pick us up, not fun when you're tired off of a long flight. The airport information desk had to call twice to chase them. It is not a backpackers place but then Dubai isn't either. There were no maps and the staff were not helpful with directions to local attractions. The nearest metro is still being built, the next one is around 20 minutes away.

Liked: For this money it's a great place to stay. The location is quit good and the rooms are really clean. They offer free coffee and tea in each room and they have a business centre with free internet and wifi. I definately can recommomend this place.

Disliked: It was quir far from the metro station, because the closest metro station is not yet finished.

Liked: It was cheap to stay here

Disliked: The attitude of some of the staff were awquard and unhelpful. I mainly put this down to the fact we were two female tourists. I would not recommend young female travelers to here or to visit Dubai. We were made to feel very uncomfortable at times.

Liked: Firstly DUbai is not a Backpacker place, its aimed at upmarket tourists and Business poeple, so to find a cheap decent hotel in the midst of all the money is great! At around 40 pounds a night for Dubai this is very cheap! The room was nice, free breakfast was decent, free pick up to and from the airport saved money on a cab, and the staff were very helpfull and can give you advice for were to go, how to get there, cheap places to eat food, how much things should cost etc. Also free computers, internet use, and a place you can book city tours, dessert safari etc. For me the location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town, you can feel the 'middle eastern' buzz of computer and mobile phone shops, indian restaurants, poeple selling watches etc, just 5 mins walk to the creek, dubai museum etc. For checking out the Burg Al Arab (Sail 7* hotel) and Burg al Kalifa (tallest building in the world) you can take a bus from around the corner or metro which is 15 mins walk away.

Disliked: Little hard to meet people in the hotel, so if your by yourself you may be a little lonely. That said its not the Hotels fault...Backpackers do not come to Dubai! Dubai poeple and tourists are friendly so Im sure like me you'll run into poeple on the steet you can hang around with .

Liked: Good value for money.....booking through Hostelbookers is about 75 per cent cheaper than the rack rates that were advertised in the hotel. Clean, safe, secure, decent base for exploring Dubai on a budget

Disliked: It's 15 minutes walk from the nearest Metro stop and it caters more for couples and families, so it's not a great place to socialise - although there are a few single travellers around

Liked: we booked this the day we needed it and this was the cheapest available and was perfect. There was a free buffet breakfast, free transfer to the airport. A lovely room with TV A/C hot water. Would recommend and dont need anything more. good location.

Disliked: the swimming pool was inside. but the beach was only a 10 min taxi ride away so didnt matter.
