Liked: Breakfast here was the best we had in our two weeks of travel in Turkey. The unlimited tea and coffee was great, as was the bottled water and afternoon snacks upstairs. Also, our room had a mini fridge - amazing! The location in southwest Sultanahmet is ideal for travelers who want a quiet getaway. Southeast Sultanahmet is backpacker central, with overpriced bars and restaurants that get noisy at night. Staff at the front desk was very helpful, though they did "recommend" taking a bus to their friend's fish restaurant, which was very expensive. No Thanks! Other than that they were great.

Disliked: The room was very small and had no shelving or cabinet to put clothes; just the bed and the bedside table. No space for anything else!

Liked: This place was really nice. Probably the best hostel we've stayed in during our trip, more like a hotel than a hostel really. The staff are super helpful and go out of their way to fulfill any requests you have. The view from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking and you are actually less than a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The only thing that was disappointing was how far we were from Taksim square where all the nightlife is, but we still found some cute cafes around the Blue Mosque that were open well into the night.

Liked: This was a fantastic experience, helpful staff, a beautiful rooftop terrace where we ate breakfast, rooms that were small but really nice, good bathroom facilities.

Liked: I really appreciated the quality of service at the reception and in the rooms. The atmosphere in general is very pleasant , good location and the room was really very clean .

Liked: Good location in the old town, rooms are a nice size and kept clean, the staff are extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast is provided and offers a wider array of quality Turkish offerings than other places we stayed. Overall excellent value for money, a very genuine and warm experience in Turkish hospitality, and highly recommended.

Disliked: Not much to dislike about the Sultan's Inn. Its an older building like most in the old town, so there are a few spots here and there that could use some upgrading, but overall the building is very well maintained, the atmosphere is great and the rooms are clean and inviting.

Liked: The runner of the hostel is islamic conservatives so you can not stay in a pravite room with your girl friend. So we have to stay in different rooms

Liked: Good location, but EVERYONE smokes there, and I hate cigarette smoke! Staff was nice, but very lazy and did not do many of the things they said they would.

Liked: To be honest, it was the cheapest best quality hotel I found in the area. The bed was comfortable -- very important to me, the room was warm enough (I went in January), the breakfast was good, the breakfast room was lovely, and the view was spectacular. It was quiet -- we were never awakened by the prayer calls. Two negatives -- the little refrigerator in the room wasn't very cold (the yougert we put in there didn't really keep) and the power outlets didn't really work too well. (Hair dryer kept turning off, and I wasn't able to charge my camera battery or my ipod.)
