Liked: nice little hotel. good value for money and excellent helpful staff. The hotel is very clean but could do with a spot of renovation. The staff speak excellent english and french (and probably other languages); the location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the old city and a short tram ride from the galata bridge and the modern part of istanbul. would certainly return.

Liked: In a very good location! The staff is very friendly and very very helpful. The man at the breakfast service is very kind. The rooms were very clean as well. It is a Hotel, not a Hostel. It has a beautiful terasse where you can stay all night with a nice view over Vosporos.

Liked: I had a fantastic time in Istanbul, staying at the Meddusa. The staff was lovely and very helpful, Deniz was particularly sweet, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was also great, with lovely staff as well. And delicious apple tea. The location is perfect, really 5 minutes away from the Blue Mosque, etc, 2 minutes away from the Grand Bazaar, less than 10 minutes to Galata Bridge if you know how to handle crowds. The room was very clean, the bathroom as well. I'll definitely stay there again when I go back.

Liked: It was clean, quiet, few people, lovely terrace with view to the bosporus which was open 24 hours a day. the staff was friendly and the location was basically in the centre of sultanamet. the only weird thing was the shower, there was no curtain, no change in height in the ground, the whole bathroom was wet after showering. but apart from that it was a nice place to stay at.

Liked: The staff, cleanliness, atmosphere and location are really what made this a great stay for us. The upstairs porch has a nice view and free breakfast is an added bonus. It seemed like a standard Turkish breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, olives), cheese, bread, tea, coffee, etc. It was also a nice area to sit and relax in the afternoon or evening with a glass of tea. The staff was exceedingly pleasant. There was a slight language barrier, but usually we could all work around this probably because the staff was so nice and helpful. After 8 nights staying here, we really felt at home! Very clean rooms and upkeep. One thing I hadn't expected was that the shower isn't separate from the rest of the bathroom so you're bath water hits and drains into the bathroom floor which I was not used to, but was absolutely fine.
