Liked: Yuksel was super close to the Otogar and very conveniently located. Yuksel was very helpful and helped me arrange tours at very good prices. He and his staff were very friendly and helpful, Yuksel even picked me up at the bus when I arrived though it is really only a 2-3 minute walk. The price was right and the upstairs terrace where breakfast is served has a great view of the town and of the balloons in the morning. Shower was hot and strong once the water warmed up.

Disliked: The bathroom is tiny. Rooms are simple and might be really cold during a colder time of year and were even a bit chilly while I was there.

Liked: is good value for money , room was nice and had a balcony-and the owner is veery helpful, arranged tour discount and airport transfer for us, it has a nice terrace to watch the balloons leaving- if there is nice weather, and few meters away from coach station and town center.

Disliked: toilets are quite small , you can barely move, overall ii would recommend it though

Liked: the location is okay; it's on the main road.

Disliked: The room was very dirty. It didn't seem like they vacuumed the floors. The bathroom is extremely small and smelled of sewage at times. There aren't really any "dorm" rooms. They basically have regular rooms, including twin rooms, which they use as two person dorms.

Liked: Great value for money, nice room, Yuksel and his family are very friendly.

Disliked: It's not the full fairy-chimney experience, but then again that's not what we were looking for. Occasionally there were some communication problems with the staff.

Liked: Yuksel is awesome! He is super friendly and would call his friends to get us the best prices for hot air balloon rides and other excursions . We booked a dorm but he upgraded us to a twin with a bathroom for no extra charge. He also gave us our room as soon as we arrived at 8 am. The breakfast was good. The rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is well-located and quiet at night. I highly recommend staying here!

Disliked: The rooms were a little dusty.

Disliked: Water was not working when I arrived which was v annoying as I had come off a night bus, needs somewhere to hang towel in bathroom, owner kept asking how much I had paid for all my trips which made me uncomfortable

Liked: The owner was very friendly and helpful. We got a discount for the hammam in Göreme which is more expensive than average. Air condition is available in some rooms. No cave rooms here, but seems that these are not as fresh as could be thought, so Yksel was a good option. The view from the terrace and front rooms is great. The location is perfect really close to the bus station.

Disliked: Toilets are too basic, but there was hot water and running water at all times.

Liked: I booked a dorm room and when I arrived they gave me a twin room for the same price (I was travelling alone). The hotel is quite old, with small bathrooms but the staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is excellent. It isn't a cave hotel but there is a nice rooftop terrace with good view of Goreme. I would come back again.

Liked: Very basic accommodation but all that one needs. The owner was very helpful and with the little english he knows he tried his best to help. The view from the terrace is amazing, and the breakfast is good

Liked: The Yuksel Hotel is a great find for the budget-minded traveller. We can't believe Lonely Planet overlooked it. Okay, it's not a "cave hotel" but the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the service is attentive. Located on a quiet street across from the Turkish baths, this hotel is a 2 minute walk from the bus station, shops, restaurants. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with sweeping views of Goreme and all the fairy chimneys. Breakfast was some of the best we had in Turkey, the basic Turkish staples with a few surprises like fresh watermelon or fried potatoes. Our room had a lovely balcony where we watched the sun set among the fairy chimneys. The owner is also an accomplished artist and local activist, in addition to being a great host, he was fascinating to talk to, and even drove us up to the panorama at sunset!

Disliked: We liked everything. Some may say that the hotel itself is a bit old. But that is just part of the charm.

Liked: everything! absolutely everything! family which is running the hotel has stolen our hearts with their kindness and hospitality!!! extremaly helpful and nice staff. great location. safe and clean rooms. delicious brekfeast on the terrace with lovely view.... I could not wish anything better than this place in Goreme! very highly recommended! defienietly will stay in this hotel if will be visiting Turkey again! :)

Liked: I lıked fırstly the manager,Yuksel,who could not have ben more helpful.He went out of hıs way to make my stay enjoyable,nothıng was any troıuble and he obvıously works hard to ensure hıs guests get good value for money.He provıded an excellent breakfast,the room was clean,comfortable and quıet.The locatıon of hıs hostel ıs ıdeal,and Yuksel took tıme to help wıth any tours and places of ınterest.I have stayed ın lots of hostels ın Turkey and Yuksels rates as one of the best value for money.Breakfast on hıs balcony provıdes a great place to sıt ın the mornıngs.Hıghly recomended. I thınk Yuksels Hotel should defınıtely be hıghlıghted ın Lonely Planets guıde books,and know that far ınferıor Hotels and Hostels are lısted wıth them.Yuksels Hotel deserves to be wıth them ıf Lonely Planet wants to dırect travellers to good value for money accommodatıon.

Disliked: There was nothıng I dıslıked about Yuksels Hotel,despıte my tryıng to thınk of somethıng.The bathroom ıs small,but that ıs a mınor ıssue,as you only spend very lımıted tıme ın there.

Liked: Mustafa was amazing. Could not do enough to help us! Allowed us to check in at 7am when our overnight bus got in AND made us breakfast, and spent all morning trying to organise a hot air balloon at dawn the next day for a friends birthday- and managed to get us the last 4 tickets! They are a very welcoming and friendly and offer such amazing value for money. This will be the best place you stay in Turkey!

Disliked: This is not a cave property BUT it has an amazing terrace- which overlooks all the fairy chimneys- at breakfast on our first morning we could see over 20 hot air balloons come in over the town.

Liked: The hotel is located in the center, near the train station which is very practical. The rooms are clean and cozy and the staff is sympathetic. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Liked: Centrally located, but enough to be away from the busier part of the town. Room very clean and has very nice view from the balcony. The family owners Mustafa and father were very nice people and offered help as much as they could.

Liked: The family that runs it is extremely friendly and helpful. They want to know how you like your breakfast, so they can adapt it to you, and they sit you down with their friends to tell you what the best stops in town are.

Liked: The staff was the best part. The hotel is owned by a father and son who are extremely helpful with anything you need. Also it was a great value and centrally located to the town and bars and a close walk to the main sites in Goreme.
