The resort is located on the southern tip of the island and features 16 western fales, 10 eastern fales, all beachfront swimming pool, tennis court island style and a Polynesian style restaurant and bar.

The village of 'Atata is renowned for its fishing prowess. The inhabitants have been fishing for Yellowfin and Skipjack tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-mahi and Marlin from open boats for over 100 years. Similarly, sport fishermen and women have the opportunity of fishing the well known Duffs Reef, and surrounding fishing grounds.

From July to October humpback whales migrates from cold south to warmer Tonga’s water. During this period they don't feed, they come here to calf and mate. The singing males can be clearly heard from underwater and whales encountered on their migration path here at Atatà.
