Ban Pu La Khorn

Ban "Pu La Khorn" features seminar house with small conference room ( for 50 people) where you can enjoy complete privacy.

Every room is designed to face the sea in the front view and "Klong Bang Pu" at the rear. Ban "Pu La Khorn" is surrounded by "Kor ka Pang" moutain range and " Khoa Tien" which stretch out like the strong and powerful embrace of unexploited nature, as well as by the magnificent sea.

"Pu La Khorn" is situated on the cape of "Bang Pu" beach. The beauty of beach front view is not affected by the street. Ban "Pu La Khorn" provides exclusive and private beach where you can swim in shallow water. Since Ban "Pu La Khorn" is the close place to the sea, when the tide is high, it cat touch the lawn of Ban " Pu La Khorn " and when the tide ebbs, there comes the stretching, enormous, level beach where you can stroll along and collect seashells which are prosperous like shell cemetery. Ban "Pu La Khorn" brings to you the greatest atmosphere of leisure. You can observe lifestyle and culture of fisherman village from your room. Here, the contemporary Bali style house blends with Thai architectural style to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

At dawn, the sun rises from Satakud island in the East. This is the best moment for taking the photographs of the first sunlight reflecting on the waves. In the evening, the sun sets behind the rear mountain so early that the house is cool day and night without airconditionng. Here, you can enjoy refreshing sea breeze year round. It might be because of the forest embracing Ban " Pu La Khorn".

Every day when the tide is low, the mangrove is obvious to tourists. Millions of "Pu La Khorn" (or pu Kamdab-fiddler crabs) is the proof of the mangrobe's fertility.

"Pu La Khorn" is small crab with the length of 3-4 cms and the width of 2cms. They have a large claw on either side of the body while another claw is very small, with various colors; blue, dark blue, black, orange, red. The shell is decorated magnificent and colorful design . This crab will stay in its hole but will go out to feed during the low tide. It always moves the right claw back and forth and that is like to attract tourists exhausted from long trips and long for the rest at Ban "Pu La Khorn". Such act, for some people, is similar to the act of senators in the parliament. That's why the crab is also called "senator crab", which raises its hand during conference.

Ban "Pu La Khorn" aims to preserve the crab from extinctions as the environment is deteriorated. Ban "Pu La Khorn" tries our best to preserve the environment around so that the younger generation can admire and learn from "Pu La Khorn" while this kind of crab continures to be the mascot of Ban "Pu La Khorn".
