Liked: it's actually a big hotel, wich has been partially migrated to a hostel (dorm beds in the former hotel rooms), so you have a very high standard (nice bathrooms, 2 pools, huge lobby and hallways, ...), staff was really nice and helpful, allowed me an early check-in in the morning

Disliked: the aircon in the room was not very strong

Liked: There is a free shuttle to and from Karon beach and it drops you right on the beach...9am and 11 am pickup at hotel then 3pm and 6pm pickup at beach. Why pay beach hotel prices when you can stay in a cool city with a great street food scene for 250 baht? Movies behind the hotel are $3 for non beach days and play first run movies in english. The food and bars around here are cheap and good.

Disliked: it could use a paint job on the outside. The beds are kinda hard.

Liked: This has to be the best hostel i have ever stayed in. Close to the bus station in phuket town. Clean, spacious rooms. Large social area with free computers and wifi and area to watch tv/dvds. balcony area. 2 swimming pools. Lovely staff. Overall brilliant place to stay. Have come back to stay here again after being on phi phi and would definitly stay here again and recommend to others.

Disliked: This hotel/hostel is in phuket town and the more lively part of phuket is patong beach which is about half an hour away. But if you want to stay in patong beach stay there and not phuket town. We chose to stay in phuket town as it is close to the bus station and also ferry terminal to get to phi phi. It isnt close to the beach here but there is a free shuttle to the beach. and there are 2 pools anyway. THere is really nothing i disliked about this place but these are just things that may not suit other travellers.

Liked: Only the second hotel in Asia I've been to with a hostel component. Having said that, it has an extensive array of amenities for a hostel: Internet, a pantry, video room, laundry room, even a pool are not a problem. Better still, you can swim in the the affliate resort on the beach front

Disliked: Maybe a better place to socialize

Liked: I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this place is excellent... for 250baht a night in a dorm room we had access to 2 swimming pools, complimentary coffee/tea, small kitchen area, free shuttle bus to karon beach &/or shopping centre. Its clean and has very friendly helpful staff - we extended our stay by 2 nights so we definately liked it here!!!

Disliked: the outside of the hotel looks nothing like the photos - but don't be put off from the look its well taken care of inside. also its in a good location in phuket town but there's not much to do here and the main attractions (beaches, restuarants, bars, other travellers) are all in karon, kata or patong beach which cost average of 150baht each way in a taxi so it kind of makes the cheap accomodation seem not so cheap!

Liked: This is a hotel where one floor has been converted into dorms. The hotel/hostel has two pools available to guests, laundry facilities, free tea, and cooking facilities (microwave, toaster, etc).

Disliked: The first room I stayed in had a shower that sprayed the ceiling....I told the front desk so hopefully this has been resolved.

Liked: This is definitely a haunted hotel! It is a bit eerie and not really a hostel at all. The price on the website is not available at check in, so we went across the street to the internet cafe, booked online and then went back to the hotel. A bit inconveniencing, so I would book ahead.It is in a great location for getting to the ferries but there was not much else around.All in all, it added a funny accomodation story to our trip!

Liked: We only stayed on an overnight stopover to get to the islands but it was a clean and spacious room and close to the night market stalls for yummy food! It was also only a 5 minute drive to the ferry!

Liked: this property is in centre of phuket town. very near to bus terminus and the harbour/pier area. its about half hour to any of the beaches. the hotel itself i felt had bee a place of grandour at one time. it is in need of a lot of TLC.. but in saying that the staff here are excellent. it is well priced. Matis, the manager here was so very good. could not do enough for me. i would recomend this hotel. it is not luxury, but is clean and safe.
