Liked: WOW! Firstly let me point out that I am a backpacker and I am used to staying in some pretty bad places. I am writing this review for backpackers and from a backpacking perspective. Being in S.E Asia I have had a few places where we have been lucky and got some nice places for low costs but this takes value for money to a new level. It's low season at the moment so the prices do go up quite a bit at other times of the year I think but we paid GBP12.00 a night here for a double room. The same level of room in the UK would cost you at least GBP90.00. The size of the room is relitavely small but it has a brilliantly comfortable and huge bed with about 6 pillows. Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a 42inch TV, a PC with free internet, DVD player and a number of other extras. The 24 hour restaurant serves very nice food at decent enough prices and the swimming pool is also lovely. If you are backpacking around S.E Asia and it is low season then I can guarentee you will not stay in a nicer place that this. It is going to be difficult for us to leave to the nearby (and beautiful) island of Ko Phi-Phi where two years ago at the same time of year I paid the same amount of money for a wooden hut with a fan and no hot water.
Disliked: Very hard to say! If anything at all it would be the 30min walk to the beach but you could of course get a taxi or tuk-tuk. The nearest shop in 10 seconds away and there is a big shopping centre 20mins walk away.
