Liked: The FX Resort is just a short 10 minute walk to the beach and just out of all noise of the main drag. But Pubs and restaurants are only a short walk away.

Liked: Clean and quiet location, 10 minute walk to beach and town centre (not the end of the world). Good value for money

Liked: Not a hostel at all, more like a hotel. Quite modern, really clean, safe, pool on the roof... what morecould you want for a tenner?!

Disliked: A bit far out from nightlife, not far from the beach though

Liked: The accommodation was amazing this was by no means a hostel but a really good hotel. I would have happily paid 4 times the price to stay here and I can't believe we were lucky enough to pay hostel prices! Rooms were beautiful and clean with a mini bar, balcony, sky TV, air con, room service etc etc. Their was a awesome pool on the roof top. a gym and it was within a 2 minute walk to the beach - couldn't have asked for more.

Disliked: I guess if you were looking for the hostel "community" experience you wouldn't find it here as this is a hotel with separate rooms and no communal areas but honestly its worth the trade off for a relaxing break from chaos and the luxury for this price!!

Liked: Really good hotel at good rates! Hostelbookers provided an excellent rate as we also asked for a rate before checking in and it was extortionate. We had a leak in our air conditioning so after they attempted to fix it for 2 days in a row they moved us into a superior room in the 'new' building which was AMAZING! This was at new year eves so we couldn't have had it any better!

Disliked: Mosquitos and flies ... hundreds of them in the reception and hall way in the 'old' building (it's not old it's just they have a brand new one next door).

Liked: We got a welcome drink on arrival, our room was the best we have had in thailand and it is right on a busy street with bars and restaurants. It does have a very mature hotel feel tho so not party central but suited us. Staff were very helpful.

Liked: This is a great place to stay, walking distance from the beach and very close to bars, though far enough (100 meters) to be quiet in case you want to sleep.Rooms are comfortable and spacious, and staff is very friendly and smiling.I'd love to stay there again!

Liked: do not go there u will get robbed and the staff will be very unhelpful and will not give you much guidance as regards further course of action ie police.not satisfactory will not be recommending this to my friends

Liked: rooms clean but basic, great free, cooked to order breakfast, the noodles were excellent, pub with live (not v good) rock group under room 201 loud till some time after 2 (medicinal singha had required effect at 2)
