Disliked: Taking into consideration the overall travel experience in Thailand this place is pretty expensive.

Liked: The price is unbeatable for this place. Our room was only 10 meters fron the wonderful beach. The food is good and cheap, you can eat right next to the beach. You can rent a motorbike for only 200Baht and drive throug the island.

Disliked: The area is a bit quiter, you have to take a taxi to go to chaweng.

Liked: Close proximity to the beach and alternate restaurants, friendly staff, value for money.

Disliked: pool temperature was to cold, but at least the sea was warmer :-)

Liked: The beach front with the pool and sun loungers are amazing and especially the view to the giant rocks and the sunset over the sea. The pool and bar area is very clean and swish the seating is plentiful and of many types on offer from bean bags to loungers to beds and bucket chairs. The beach was clean and the atomosphere very relaxing

Disliked: The room i stayed in was the cheapest of the prices but it is in need of renovation for the price, the bathroom door did not shut and was very hard to open or close, The matress was ok but was in need of replacement. The place was very clean and service was great cleaned and everything changed daily just the room was in need of a refit at the end of its life, the other bungalows looks a lot newer and refurbed.

Liked: In a quieter part of Lamai beach only a 20min walk to the main area along the beach. Fantastic massages would definately recommend the traditional thai massage! Restaurant offers nice food at a good price. Staff are very helpful.

Liked: As a backpacker, it is definitely satisfying to have both a pool and beach available within a distance of ten meters or so. It might seem expensive if you are backpacking but you receive all kinds of luxury treatment and the food at restaurant are delicious. The rooms are cleaned every second day, and the service is good. We needed to go to a doctor and were driven there by the staff for free.

Disliked: Nothing in particular but Lamai beach is not the sandy, blue and clear beach you might expect it to be. It is a quite boring area to stay in if you are looking for partying so only stay here for relaxation.

Disliked: The room wasn't that great and the lighting was poor, but it was very cheap so you get what you pay for.

Liked: The staff at thereception and restaurant was very friendly and the food is absolutly fab!!! If you like House music, which I do, then you are in the right spot... there is music all day long and at night (from 6 p.m.) is always one of Thailands famous DJ´s at the Turntables. Every Wednesday is a big Beach Party! The roomes are also nicely done with a great shower.

Disliked: THE NOISE!! Not only that airplanes seem to land in your room (property is very close to the airport) but there are also all the young party folks who like to scream around in the middle of the night when the come back from partying. Also the Cleaners are very loud in the morning. I hardly got any sleep! The beach is very crowded because not only the hotel guests may use the sunbeds, also everyone who visits the restaurant at the beach may use them. Not very well organized!

Liked: we liked the there was free internet access for 20 mins at a time in the lobby. it was right on the beach. overall good value for the price.

Disliked: the hotel was far from the main town center, so it was a hassle to walk to get food (about 15 mins) the hotel restaurant was expensive..the pool was a bit dirty.

Liked: Its basically a beach resort turned hostel! It was great! The pool was such a nice treat...lounge chairs for guests to use, restaurant on site (although more expensive than venturing out of the complex). Nice stone pathways, big rooms, directly ON the beach. Very close to Rock Bar.

Disliked: Far walk from the Main Stripm you're a little secluded from the action. Took about 15-20min...but totally do-able!

Liked: on a quieter part of the Lamai Beach. The hostel has its own small stretch of beach which was very nice, as well as a nice pool. Staff were friendly and enjoyed a bit of banter.

Disliked: We were in a room with just a fan, and it was like a sweatbox during the day. Decor was a bit run down, and seemed to be a problerm with a lot of ants in the bathroom, as there was an easy entrance for them near the shower.

Liked: The place is very nice, and the owner is very kind and funny as well as the rest of the staff who are ready to help you whenever you need. I'm going to come back there next time!!! Tip: let's take a swim in the pool before going to bad and have a drink inside in the meanwhile :p

Liked: Lovely staff, very friendly, open and helpful. The place is more run-down than the photos let on. Still a nice place to stay but maybe not as good value as some other places we saw in the area. The restaurant and bar were very expensive compared to others in the area.
