About The North Hotel

The ownership is partly Thai, partly Norwegian. We aim to giving our guests good quality and personal service to a reasonable price.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is served at the lobby area from 7.00-11.00 am with several option of menu. It costs 100 baht for those who do not have breakfast included in their room rate,

The Turntable Bar:

Our cosy little lobby bar has a concept unique to Chiang Rai: Here you can relax with a drink and talk with your (new) friends and enjoy a slow evening of Chiang Rai.

Library:

Located on the backyard terrace of the second floor we have a small library or book corner available for our hotel guests.

Roof terrace:

If you want to elevate from the street level, the nicely arranged roof terrace can be what you are looking for. Sun block is recommended!

Smoking:

The North Hotel is a non-smoking hotel.

Our environment:

The North Hotel is concerned about our environment. This has been a guideline for us during the whole planning and construction process. Practically all the timber we have used is recycled. The teak doors in the guest rooms are from young, farmed teak trees, and the hot water is produced from a solar heater system.

Accommodation Information

We have 15 nicely decorated double rooms, 13-14 m2, with TV and air-conditioner. All rooms have private facilities and most of them have a small balcony. Two of the rooms even have access directly to the backyard terrace. All double bed rooms have breakfast included in the room rate.

Our 4 beds and 6 beds mixed dormitary rooms are comfortable fan rooms (non air-conditioned). The dorms are located on 5th floor with small garden. There is no elevator, recommended for a healthy guest. Breakfast is not included in the room (bed) rate.

There is also a family private unit. It is a small apartment on top (5th) floor. The apartment has 2 floors. Upper floor is a bed room and small balcony in the front and private terrace at the back where you can have outdoor shower. Lower floor is a living room and toilet and shower room. The apartment has no-air-conditioner but fans are provided. Breakfasts are included in the room rate.

Location Information

North Hotel is centrally located in a quiet street with the bus station and the Night Bazaar in one end, and Sirikorn Market, the fruit and flower market, on the other, and within walking distance from everywhere in downtown Chiang Rai.
