Just newly opened, in the middle of bustling Stone Town, Zenji Hotel welcomes guests for a relaxing stay or a drink on our rooftop. The rooftop offers a beautiful view over Stone Town and the harbor, especially during sunset. We provide free internet facility for our hotel guests!

With only 9 rooms Zenji Hotel offers the guests privacy and a time to rest, with books and games on the rooftop while enjoying a fresh juice, soda, and (spice) tea or espresso coffee. All rooms have a different atmosphere referring to the rich Zanzibar heritage and culture. Rooms have different prices, depending on your taste and choice (balcony, self-contained etc).

The breakfast is served on the rooftop and includes fresh juices and bread, homemade jam, egg of your choice, fruits and tea or espresso coffee.

The hotel is owned by a Zanzibarian-Dutch couple who try to integrate the best of cultures, with traditional Zanzibarian details (such as traditional Zanzibarian beds but Western size), friendly staff, real espresso coffee.

ZenjiHotel is part of the 'ZenjiZanzibar-projects' that aims to create direct or indirect income for rural local community by stimulating local entrepreneurship, encouraging tourists to participate in local tours and providing training on the job. Zenji Zanzibar works together with local organisations, NGO’s, private companies, educational institutions and enthusiastic and motivated persons.
