Liked: The friendliness, the positive attitude of the staff and the willingness to help was amazing and proofed, that service has nothing in common with the number of stars the hostel/ hotel is having, the vegeterian meals were very good and so was the entire menu which was very much adapted to the mild french kitchen.

Disliked: The lack of parasols at the pool, bcs of the extremely windy weather at this location (unfortunately we didn't know it's a kite-surfer's paradise) most of the time it's not possible to sunbath at the beach, so the refuge is the pool but without parasols one cant stay long, and there is no alternative area to chill on.

Liked: For the lunch, problems to hqave our choice, sometimes just one or two possibilities. But you can go to the hotel near the cristal whose depend also of this hostel. You can find barbecue of chicken , fish or octupussy. Good prices so.

Liked: Pool and eco bungalows were great. Bring your own mossie net though as the ones in the rooms were not very secure.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at the Cristal resort. The beach is very beautiful. The bungalow in wood and banana leaves was very pleasant and had a beautiful view on the sea. The french speaking staff is very friendly

Liked: Very good location on the Paje beach with easy access to the ocean at high tide (which does not seem to be the case in Jambiani). Nice large rooms with beautiful bathroom (all wooden) in the ecohuts and friendly service in the rooms (e.g. lady coming in the evening to arrange your mosquito net and spray some anti-mosquito product). Good cook (better than in the other resorts we tried along the beach), but a small supply problem (e.g. no wine or beer several days in a row). Quiet place to rest while enjoying the ocean.

Liked: Its realy worth money, you'll live in 30 meters to Indian Ocean, stuff is great, breakfast is great. One bad thing - they have troubles with electricity, but its nothing comparted to place you are.
