Liked: very clean. it was an easy walk from the train station (cross the water and then turn right until you get to their street), so i don't know why they tell you to take the tram. central location.

Liked: the locationthe way the rooms are named after rock stars/bandshowever, there are a lot of pubs and restaurants right below the hostel, which makes it very noisy at night

Liked: great location near old town sights and right in the middle of the night life area, but drunken revelers and noise go along with it...some complain it is difficult to sleep here, especially on weekend nights... i believe it largely depends on the luck of the draw and what room you are in...avoid rooms with windows opening to the main drag...go with a private single if in doubt, and be ready for lots of smoke in the tiny lounge provided...internet charge of one franc (80 cents) per10 minutes is one of the cheapest in zurich, believe it or not...

Liked: It was in a great location, the rooms were clean enough and the staff was super helpful. There is a bar beneath it, which I didnt spend much time at, but it seems lots of locals went there. This is not really a hostel, more a cheap hotel with shared bathrooms. The 'theme' rooms consist of a couple pictures of a musician. At least the ones on my floor did. This wasn't as good a place to meet people as some other hostals. But maybe that's just me. I don't know any german.
