Liked: Hotel Alpha provides good, reliable budget accommodation in a nice area of Lucerne only 10 minutes walk from the station. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Beds are very comfortable and facilities are always clean. Breakfast is good and the hotel is a good choice for any budget traveller.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: We had a great sized room with a sink and desk with two single beds pushes together to make a double, the breakfast was really good and the reception staff were incredible! They even allowed us to check in hours earlier! Wireless Internet is available for 1CHF per hour, and is available in all rooms.

Disliked: Only possible issue was the small number of showers and only one toilet per floor. It didn't bother us too much, but the hostel wasn't full when we were there.

Liked: We had a nice balcony, the lounge was lovely. They had elevators which was good. Breakfast was really nice too

Liked: Not far from Train Station or City Center; with lots of tourist information;staff has been helpful in general.

Disliked: It has a kitchen that guests can use,-- everybody do so. but on the door it was marked staff only, so I missed the convenience of it in my stay.

Liked: The location of hotel is quite near train station, you can take bus or walking to the hotel. The buffet breakfast is quite good, including ham, cheese boiled egg, toast and cornflake, ovatine, chocolate drink, orange juice. And the breakfast room is quite comfortable.

Disliked: The shared bathroom is not for 1 occupant at 1 time. It has 2 shower compartment in the shared bathroom. Staff is not very helpful when we ask for internet service.

Disliked: Was not informed that it was communal bathrooms. Door lock wouldn't open at night which was problematic for this reason.

Liked: It's quite silence when walking around Alpha and in Luzern you don't need to worry a lot about the safty problem. The hotel is clean, simple and convenient.

Disliked: It will be better if the internet could be well connected.

Liked: Good across the board. Light, clean room. Good breakfast. Located fairly close to the centre of town.

Disliked: No particular character. The room was a bit clinical.

Liked: Essentially a hotel, so nice clean rooms, but has some nice lounges so sort of has a bit more of a hostel-ish feel. Good breakfast available, you get an hour of free internet useage on a decent computer.

Disliked: Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is; you still have to share bathrooms.

Liked: The room is decent and clean.The shower room is great. Breakfast is nice with a lot of varieties. There are elevators to your rooms.

Disliked: The staff at the reception area gave us the wrong instruction on how to validate the bus ticket. The street was quiet after 7-8pm. Need to climb stair to reception desk.

Liked: It was fantastic. Nice, clean, modern rooms with friendly staff who were helpful when necessary. I thought it was a great place to stay, especially for the price. I'd definately stay there again.

Liked: This Hostel is very clean and the building is fairly new and well maintained. Its 12 mins walk to the train station. Just off the busy road. so its also quiet. Shared bathroom. It was clean and good. Like most of the other hostels i stayed in, the shower is a 3x3 room. I think thats the standard in europe.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: staying at hotel alpha was a wonderful experience. I had booked a private single with shared bathroom. the room was spacious enough, had its own sink and drinking water. there are 2 toilets and 4 showers on each floor so tht dsn giv ne problem. the breakfast was good. had a variety of options to suit everyone. the hotel is located on a 10-15 min walk from the station and even though is not in a highly central location for luzern, the walk to the hotel is pleasant. housekeeping was also very efficient.

Disliked: the internet connection in my room was not available - the wi fi signal was extremely weak in my room. so i had to surf in the lobby. other than that there was no problem and i had a wonderful stay.
