Liked: The breakfast at this hotel is very good. They offer a broad variety of foodstuffs, good drinks and desserts, so you can eat well and feel like you have just saved 20 or 30 franks after the meal. The room I stayed in was spacious and very solid.

Disliked: The hotel is located in what seems to be a red-light district. Just around the corner there were sexual workers from East Europe who, to my surprise, politely greeted me in the morning when I was on my way to the lake. Although that was nice of them, I can see how this could present a bit of a problem for, let's say, married couples staying at the hotel. More importantly, one day, around midnight I saw the receptionist hand over cards with personal data that every guest is required to fill in to a man in ordinary, civilian clothes who came from outside. I can only hope that the person who took the cards is a policeman, and not a member of a gang or mafia operating in the red light district, and that this was some kind of a police check up and not an identity theft! The hotel looks very decent, but it's hard to believe that the police come at midnight to collect information on potential troublemakers. Since, I cannot be absolutely sure what the handing of the cards was about, I have not included this problem in my (percentage) rating of the hotel, BUT CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED when filling in the card and giving your private information such as address and passport number, since you have already given the hotel your credit number during booking. The hotel should be asked to explain to whom they are giving guests' information.

Liked: The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean & quiet. The breakfast was great.

Liked: Nice room. Free breakfast. Free WiFi. Free Travel card (standard in Geneva).

Disliked: Wireless was a bit spotty. Staff wasn't that friendly.

Liked: It was close to the station; ideal for an early start the next morning to go to the airport. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful.

Liked: The Manager was very helpful. The location was great- very close to the train station and the lake. Breakfast was really good. The rooms were clean and tidy.

Liked: The breakfast buffet was awesome - they even had vegemite for the Aussies and Kiwis.The room was small but had everything I needed. Overall it was a very good place to stay.

Liked: breki was relly sweet, good spred. rooms sweet as, very nice. everything was good for what i was looking for. Just make sure you go left out the doors not right, you may find youself mixing with the ladies of the night! its in a conveniant location.
