Liked: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the room and particularly the windows as we were in a busy part of town but the fine windows shut out so much of the traffic. However, we asked for a non-smoking room and they "aired" the room but it was set aside as a permanent "non-smoking" room, such is Spain, I suppose! Lots of accommodation for smokers still.

Liked: The staff was VERY friendly and helpful, probably some of the nicest I´ve enountered in Spain. The room was very nicely decorated and very clean. The location is good too. I recommend everything about this hostal except that the rooms are fairly small and the pillow was horrible, and the closet smelled terrible, but other than that, it was great.

Liked: Ensuite bathroom cleaned every day, 24-hour reception with video security, very central, had balcony. But TV selection was pretty pathetic....

Liked: The Hotel Alameda was just that, a hotel, moreso than a hostel. The rooms were clean, cute, and conveniently located. Our room had a covered balcony with a view of the port, the city, and the ruins on the hill. Overall a great experience, I'd recommend the Hotel Alameda to anyone looking for the privacy of a single room without breaking the bank.
