Liked: room is small but nicely furnished, bathroom very clean and neat, great location, good value for money, pleasant surprise for a hostel, better than a three star hotel anyways.

Disliked: bed was too short for a guy higher than 1,80m, at the time i spent there, on one day there was no water available at the recepcion, although this was marketed as available. overall this did not bother me, but might botherbother customers.

Liked: The best things about this property is it's location. We haven't even used the metro, because it is so central. We also thought the decoration of the room was nice. The bed was comfi and the bathroom nice and clean.

Disliked: Well, it's kind if noisy outside. If you don't like it, stay in another barrio. We didn't mind and slept fine.

Liked: It was really clean and nice design.. Staff we're helpful and it was really central.

Disliked: The wi-fi didn't work very well.. Hard to find

Liked: It was wonderfully clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was amazing. There are so many restaurants right on your doorstep.

Disliked: Our room was tiny and there was scaffolding outside the window with people working on it so it felt quite intrusive. I saw into a couple of the other rooms when they were being cleaned and they were much much larger than ours, with lovely juliette balconies and no scaffolding. When I asked why our room was so small and could we please change rooms I was told you could only have the big, nice room if you are staying for a week (and the lady didn't really seem to care that I wasn't very happy, which was a shame.) I would suggest that you request a large room without scaffolding specifically, in case you end up with our room!

Liked: Teh location of teh hostel is great! In the center of Madrid.

Disliked: The room was really small. The bed was about 1.7 meter long so we didn't fit in! Breakfast is not in the hostel itself but in a bar nearby. The outside of teh building is under reconstruction so we had a lot of noice of it.

Liked: it is REALLY closed from the plaza de sol, one of the main plaza of Madrid. You can walk from there to many tourists points of the city. The hostel is clean, there are many restaurants near.

Disliked: it was a little bit nossy.

Liked: The rooms are very neat, clean. The staff is very friendly and they gave us a free tour around the city. Perfect place to stay. The best in europe.

Liked: Centrally located to shopping, restaurants, metro, museums. Free walking tour. Very helpful bilingual people working the front desk. Breakfast was included.

Disliked: No common room to meet other travelers, room was on busy street and I was unable to sleep at all on the first night. Ear plugs helped keep out some sound but not enough. Noise went on until 6 in the morning every night. Directions to hostel could use more detail. For example, mentioning that it is in the building of El Museo de Jamon would have saved us a lot of frustration. The Hostel's own sign is very small and easy to miss.

Liked: The Hostel has a very good location, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They organize a lot of activities and tours and they are worth the money. I really recommend this place for a nice stay in Madrid!

Disliked: The only real problem I find about this hostel is the noise, not inside but outside in the street sometimes can get really noisy. Anyway, if you are very tired after a full, busy day you will not notice for sure (I am not so noise sensible but I guess that for some people could be a problem).

Liked: Ben at the front desk was very helpful. He spoke English very well, and helped us find a place to eat when we arrived at midnight. He was also very helpful directing us to things that we needed. The rooms are very nice, we were very happy with our stay!

Disliked: We had a little trouble finding the hostel because there is a bunch of scaffolding over the front of it. There is a large banner over the front with the hostel name, but it was difficult to see in the dark when we weren't expecting it. We also booked a cab to the airport through Ben at the front desk, it was suppose to be a flat rate of 40 euro but when we got there the cab driver demanded 46....that was annoying.

Liked: Excellent central location. Rooms generally nicer than most hostels. One member of staff ,Ben very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the morning at local cafe.

Disliked: When we first arrived the entrance looked more like a brothel than a hostel, the stairs and communal areas were in real need of repair. Once at the hostel itself (4th floor) on first inspection the rooms were pleasant, modern and clean. However after settling our things in and going to the toilet a GIANT cockroach appeared out of the bathroom! One of the members of staff came and removed it and explained it was due to building work outside, which was a real put off. Scaffolding covered the building so you have no view and can't really open the windows, if we had known about the building work we probably wouldn't have stayed. One other member of staff a young lady was quite unpleasant and made no effort to make us feel welcome or comfortable.

Liked: Excellent location, friendly and 100% helpful staff, excellent wi-fi, cleanliness, hot water around the clock, cable (only Spnaish channels:-D), green apples, and ELEVATOR!

Liked: Beautiful room, comfortable bed and lovely decorations. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Disliked: Not a very inviting walk up the ancient stairs (worn and rutted for an unsteady walk)... and the walls are worn. The rooms and floor are a beautiful surprise.
