Liked: Accomodation although basic was clean and there was food and drinks avaliable at very reasonable prices if desired. The staff were extremely helpful and would do all they could to ensure you had an enjoyable stay.

Disliked: The only drawback of this property is the distance from Calpe/ the beach. I'd recommend staying as long as you have a car.

Liked: The pool, the (free, as in free beer) breakfast, the location (but make sure you have a vehicle at your disposal) and the staff (very friendly).

Disliked: Our guess is that in hotter days (above 30º) it may get a bit unconfortable as it lacks air conditioning in all facilities. Also the rooms area is a bit hotter than the rest of the hotel. Our advice is, go to the pool!

Liked: The hostel was easy to find with the given directions and was basic value for money accommodation. A car was necessary to get around due to location. The evening meals were basic but again value for money. I would use the hotel again and also recommend it.

Liked: Wir waren mittlerweile schon insgesamt 3mal im Gran Sol Calpe. Ich kann es absolut empfehlen: Personal ist superfreundlich, vielsprachig, es gibt einen wunderschoenen Pool, in der Bar kann man Billard spielen, Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis ist super, sehr schoene und saubere Zimmer (mit TV, falls das fuer jemanden wichtig ist), hinter dem Haus im Poolbereich hat man einen gigantischen Ausblick aufs Meer und den beruehmten Felsen Peñon de Ifach ... also wir wuerden immer wieder hinfahren, aber das naechste Mal muss jetzt leider ein bisschen warten, weil unser Spanischaufenthalt zu Ende geht :(((( !!!!!! Absolut zu empfehlen!!!!!Die einzigen beiden Nachteile: Wenn man nicht mit dem Auto vor Ort ist, ist es schwierig an den Strand und in die Stadt zu kommen. Ich weiss leider nicht, ob da ein Bus faehrt, aber ich glaube eher nicht. Mit dem Auto sind es nur 10min runter. :) Der zweite Nachteil ist, dass es fuer junge Leute, die Party wollen und viele jungen Leute kennen lernen wollen, nicht die geeignete Herberge ist. Aber zum Relaxen und Erholen genau das Richtige!!!!

Liked: The people managing the Hostal/Pension are friendly without exaggeration.We can recommend the continental breakfast with ham, cheese, jam, brown bread and butter, rolls … Tea and coffee are excellent.On Saturday night there was entertainment. Well trained singers performed evergreens up to midnight.The view is quite typical, over a nice “urbanisation” with beautiful houses. There is also a huge swimming pool which must be very attractive in summer.The rooms have a private entrance with it's own key. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. The heating works very well. There is plenty of hot water for the shower. Currently (Febr. 2007). All will be ready before the summer season begins. There is really value for money. A stay in this hostal is certainly cheaper than in a equivalent English B&B.
