Liked: The hotel was in an excellent location, right in the edge of the old town.The hotel was a great building all in all but is deteriorating, dirty and damaged in parts. By no means does this effect the service of your stay though.

Disliked: The rates are strictly based on location as the hotel is not in the best of condition. (For the price)

Disliked: the atmosphere wasn't very hostel-like, it was more of a hotel, but it was nice.

Liked: Very nice design. Good sized room with a pleasant atmosphere. Modern, but with older touches such as exposed beams. The room was a pleasant surprise! Good lighting throughout the hotel. Location was ideal.

Disliked: The hydro massage shower in our room was broken! Very disappointing! One day our card key reset itself and we were unable to access the room. We therefore had to go back down to reception for it to be corrected. A small issue, but irritating when you have had a long day and just want to his the shower then bed!

Liked: upon arrival our room was not what we had booked, a twin instead of a double, we had to stay in the twin for the first night as the hotel was full, but the staff moved us and upgraded us with no cost for the remaining 3 nights of our stay to a king size bed! Very happy with that and the staff always had the right answers straight off the top of their head - always handy. Thanks guys.

Liked: I would highly recommend staying at this hostel if you are staying here with family or a group of friends. It is not a place to meet people but a very nice place to stay if you have people with you. Facilities are great, staff is good, location is convenient and pretty right in the entrance to Casco Viejo and a five minute walk to the metro to get to other parts of Bilbao. The rooms were beautiful and the whole building really had a great feel to it, very unique.
