The location was perfect it was clean and quiet and relaxing. It is a place to meet people but if I wanted to party I would go to yucky Benidorm this hotel is where Spanish people would go brilliant
Overview
‘Hotel Altaya’ is located in front of the beach of Altea town which is part of the Marina Baixa region, Alicante, on the Costa Blanca.
Altea is one of the few places along the Coast which still gives you this kind of Spanish village look. Altea centre, along with the church, is the most attractive place around and its harbor with many nice restaurants and bars. There are also over five kilometers of beaches along this town. It is well communicated with Valencia City.
Our hotel was built in 1966 and refurbished in 2000. It has a two star rating and you will receive a warm welcome from our eight efficient staff, all hotel and catering professionals.
Our hotel contains 24 rooms, spacious and comfortable; they are serviced and perfectly equipped:
Air conditioning/central heating
Telephone
TV (Satellite)
Safety box
Full bathroom
In the same complex, just besides our hotel, we have ‘Restaurant L’Espigó’ with the only environment to enjoy the best and freshest Mediterranean products. Our chefs use traditional ingredients from its lands and sea in special ways to innovative the traditional dishes, we offer you the best food of Altea.
To relax in its coves and beaches, you can enjoy the nautical wide range and a Golf Club. In the nearby population of Finestrat you can find the thematic park "Terra Mitica". Or perhaps you can take a trip to Valencia City. Why don't you go to the ‘City of the sciences and the arts’ or visit the Museum of Art Contemporary Ivam?
Monuments and interesting places in Altea:
-The Old Part: It is a pleasure to walk along the narrow lanes up to the top of the hill where you get fantastic panoramic views over the Mediterranean.
-Iglesia Virgen del Consuelo: The church presides the town and has a pretty blue dome typical in Mediterranean villages on the coast.
-The fishermen's quarters: The ‘Barrio de Pescadores’ is in the lower part of the village.
-If you visit or stay in Altea, you should also visit the little villages around; especially La Nucia to the north of Altea with its Sunday market- worth a nice day trip.
