Liked: In the very centre of the city, you can walk the city and you don't need to use public transport every time you go out. Extremely friendly and helpfull staff. Warm in the winter time. Everything is clean and comfortable.

Liked: Clean and very friendly staff. Close to all tourist attractions.

Disliked: On arrival the stairs to the Hotel are very old and run down however once at the Hotel door and inside it is completly different.

Liked: The location was perfect, lots of the main monuments are 10-15m walk. The pick up at the airport was correct, efficient and useful since to explain taxi driver location can be tricky (normally they don't speak english) and not easy to find the correct hotel door entrance. The staff from the hotel where friendly and helpful in the main questions, as how to book show tickets, etc Hotel are located at the last floor (3 floor), from the 5 nights we pass there where clean, breakfast in room (always punctual), very silent during all the time.

Disliked: Could be improved adding an elevator (for disable people). Add welcome pack at the arriving day with locations different kinds of restaurants (specially the ones with russian food - lots of them ask for reservations and only speak russian), locations to buy tickets for main shows (russian ballet, etc). Be possible to book shows tickets at the hotels it will be improve a lot, since locate the tickets office around the city and explain wish show ticket you want is tricky (they speak only russian). At the room we only had warm first day, after speak with reception nothing change (outside where 5 degrees celsius). Water pression where very low, that makes long time to take shower....

Liked: It's located so central (right next to St Isaac's Cathedral) that all sights are reachable on foot. It's a very small place, but extremely friendly and helpful staff is there 24h, therefore it's a very secure and clean place where one can enjoy privacy, so if you intend to meet others, this is not the ideal place (very few rooms, breakfast is brought to the room, there is no real shared common room or something like that). Don't let the first impression of the staicase to the hotel bother you ether, the hotel, a converted flat with no more than 3 or 4 rooms has a very high standard. It's a great place for couples or small groups who intend to have a short city break.
