Liked: The location was very good in a nice central district.My room was very nice.grocery store was just across the road as was alcohol shop.Staff were friendly and helpful and before I had arrived in Russia emailed me documents that I would need to get my visa in the Russian embassy in Dublin.

Liked: Elena, the assistant manager, went out of her way to help us and even came to our rescue when our pre-booked driver couldn't take us to the airport, by driving us herself. She was always ready to answer our questions and help us where possible.

Liked: Location is great, less than 5 minutes from Nevsky Prospect, two Metro lines and the Moscow Train Station. The street is farily quiet, and there is a 24 hour producti (grocery) store across the street (vodka, beer, wine, water, juice, yougurt, bread, cheese, salami, and candy) There is wifi in the hostel and a 24 hour internet cafe around the corner on Nevsky Prospect, where you can also get a good caffe latte. The rooms are very clean with en suite bath, refrigerator, microwave and TV. The bed linen is clean and fresh. There is good closet and storage space for luggage. There is hot water for tea in the lobby. They can process your visa, can arrange pick-up at the airport and will call a taxi for you for other around town travel. The staff is friendly and speak English. You can change dollars and euros at the Nevsky Prospect Hotel about 5 minute walk away (and feel safe about it).And building safety is ensured with the electronic keys to get into the courtyard and then through the outer door to the building. About a 10 minute walk away there is an covered market place that sells fresh meat, fish, vegetables, honey, flowers, etc. It is near the Doestoevsky Musuem. Check with the staff for the name of the market. I have stayed here twice and felt very comfortable. It is good value for the money and a safe environment.

Liked: The location is very central, and the staff was helpful. The rooms had TV, fridge and a microwave oven. The interior and the beds was also at an acceptable standard. The only negative thing was the sound from the doorbell.
