Liked: The rooms look amazing having an old touch. The Hostel is situated in an old house which is very very nice...

Disliked: For cooking just a microwave.

Liked: The location and the price for the location. The moldings in the rooms are quite nice as well.

Disliked: 1. Very VERY hard to find. There is no sign and the directions don't explain properly what you must do to reach the hostel. 2. The staff. They are SO rude! We got into the hostel and got told about a registration fee and there was explanation. Just told if we didn't like it, we should leave. We paid it and went to our room. Not bad considering it was a 14 bed share. 3. The kitchen is NOT a kitchen. There is a sink, fridge, microwave and kettle. That's it. 4. There is one toilet, one shower and then a combined shower and toilet. This is to be shared between the WHOLE hostel. Be prepared to queue. 5. We got moved on the second morning. The staff told us to move, no asking, no explanation. We got moved to a smaller room (still 14 dorm). We got told where to sleep by the receptionist (finding out much later that we'd actually been given other peoples beds and that we needed to move again. Turns out they'd moved us to save them having to clean the other room again as it laid empty that night. 6. The new room. Was one room with stand alone walls dividing it into a 14 share and 6 share. The walls did not reach the ceiling and the noise was intolerable until 3am. The main light of the room was situated with the 14 share but the switch was with the 6 share (????). Meant every time they turned on the light our room was flooded with light whilst theirs got very litle. 7. The beds are VERY uncomfortable and hard. 8. The staff are smoking in the doorway of the hostel with very small gap gor ventilation. You stink of smoke and if you walk past them they wont move ir put the cigarette out- you have to shimmy past holding your breath. Nice. A cheap hostel but had I known prior all of these things I would've booked elsewhere and paid more.

Liked: The hostel was very cheap, but at the same time it was clean, the interiors were very nice, the staff very kind, there was a good wi-fi connection.

Disliked: There were no tools to cook, the walls were very thin (it was not a problem in our case as the hostel was almost empty, but it could be in high season)

Liked: Good location, friendly atmosphere, old colouring house (built 1851), old interior with moulding, large bath, large space

Liked: Very clean and quiet, great bathrooms and nice common area. We arrived at 5am and were let in and to leave our bags.

Disliked: Dorm room cold. Only microwave and kettle in kitchen. Staff not very welcoming but not nasty either. Only wifi so if you don't have a laptop you can't use internet. No atmosphere, lights never urned on, people sleep all day.

Liked: Very cheap. Walk in price is a bit more than booking in advance

Disliked: Difficult to find - instructions provided are quite confusing. There is also no sign. Look for a big red door between a cafe and a 24-hour supermarket at 28 Ul Nekrosova and dial 31. Alternatively, ask the lovely people in the cafe. Check a map before following the directions provided. Very limited bathroom facilities, 1 toilet, 1 shower and toilet room and 1 shower alone.

Liked: Location is good and fairly near to the centre point of most famous tourist attractions.

Disliked: I think the general hygiene of the building and surrounding areas were not satisfactory and probably because of this, I was 'badly' biten by mosquitoes during my 3 nights of stay, which caused me lots of discomfort afterwards!

Disliked: I think it should be clarified in description how to get there. If you don't look through comments you hardly ever get there. The door is without any signboard. And description says: "Address: Ul Nekrasova house 28, sq. 31," How could people understand that this noname door is blocked and you should key in number 31 to get in?

Liked: Rooms are spacious, kitchen is ok, as well as the bathrooms.

Disliked: You have to walk quite long to get to the interesting parts of the city as well as to be connected with public transport (metro). The worst (and only really bad point) is that there are VERY thin walls through which you can hear EVERY single noise that your neighbour makes (at least while staying in the double room). Floor are squeaking and there is a quite loud street in front of it. It was sometimes impossible to sleep before 1 or 2 o'clock at night and after 8 in the morning. Staff seemed a bit sleepy and disinterested all the time.

Liked: Very interesting room mates from all over the world.

Disliked: We booked a 5 bed room and got a 14 bed one with 9 people sleeping including one girl who booked a single bedroom and stayed with us cause "there was no single room for her". Afterwards the staff did not want to refund the difference between what we booked and payed for and what we got. Also there are ~50 beds in the hostel but only 1 toilet, 1 shower and 1 shared bathroom with a toilet so prepare for long queuing.

Liked: I liked the character and atmosphere. They were all really friendly and helpful. They changed my bedlinen on my request as I was staying for 10 nights and the weather was very hot. They also returned money without any problems when I decided to shorten my stay. The place was nicely furnished and clean.

Disliked: Very small and over crowded kitchen with only one two-hob electric cooker that broke down later and no replacement was provided. At least a proper dish drying/draining holder could be provided, so when you take something from it will not be soaking in water. The fridge was large enough in general, but when 30 people staying at one time it was bit too small. Just two toilets and two showers are not enough for large amount of people staying. They also sometimes struggled due to overbooking and moved people around.

Liked: Very cheap place good for travelers who dont spend all the day in Hostel.

Disliked: 2 toilet and 2 shower not enought for 30 gest for example

Liked: central location, it's clean, there is fridge, washing machine, microwave etc that we can use, beautiful ceiling!

Disliked: There is no sound isolation, so maybe if you are not a heavy sleeper, it's not the best choice for you. It is quiet during night time, but it is very difficult to sleep there at any other time.

Liked: It is in the center

Disliked: The staff does not speak english,there is only one shower for more then 30 beds. The bedrooms are not separeted with walls until the ceiling, so you are sleeping with the noises ot other rooms.The kitchen is very very small, there is no signs to find the hostel and the bell of the door is ringing so loud each time someone want to enter into the hostel.
