About Quinta de Silvares

The country house "Quinta de Silvares" is perfect for those who come to Portugal and look for a time within the peace of the beautiful landscapes of Douro Valley, not far away from the second biggest city in the country, Oporto. If you need to rest, to spend some time surrounded by nature, if you are looking for a different place where you can practice your favorite outdoor activities, or even if you are an enthusiastic of organic farming, you must not miss this charming place.

Accommodation Information

You can only book the whole house, by a minimum period of 2 nights.

It consists of 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with fireplace, TV, DVD player and HI-FI sound system. In the courtyard, you'll find a swimming pool and also a beautiful apple orchard along with other fruit trees, all cultivated by means of organic farming methods.

Location Information

Here you can experience the beauty of Nature and its unique places.The Tedo river runs at about 3km from here, where you may practice different outdoor activities througout the whole year. And you are also encouraged to explore all the region, since you'll be able to find surprising viewpoints, churches and old typical houses that you may visit, unique plants and animals, and most of all, you'll be certainly pleased to breathe such a fresh air...

If you need to buy something, if you look for a place to eat, or in case of urgency concercing healtcare services, you can find shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the hospital in the village of Armamar (2000 inhabitants) located 8 km away from here.
