Liked: friendly staff

Liked: the staff was really friendly, the location was good.

Disliked: very old, smelt a bit weird. If you book in advance, there are places much cheaper with better conditions.

Liked: location was the best we could ever have!

Disliked: staff was really friendly but they didn't speek english so because of it they weren't helpful (we were expecting them to order us a taxi but it was impossible to translate it). also the shower was too small - after every taking a shower our bathroom was totally wet

Liked: It is located in the very center of Porto. The room was very big and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice location. I would definately stay there again.

Disliked: A bit noisy because of traffic. But earplugs will do it :)

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They only speak portuguese though. The staff just seemed super happy to be there and eager to help. I left my watch there, returned 3 days later and they had it all wrapped up in an envelope locked away in the safe. Sweet. They had heating in our room (don't know about the others) and the water was nice and hot.

Disliked: The room was a bit tiny but we were there to sleep and wouldn't recognize this as a dislike. Although the steam from the bathroom tended to steam up the whole room.

Disliked: New disco club in Alliados in front of hotel, electronic music during the night makes difficulties to sleap.

Liked: There was some mistakt in booking. I`ve book 5 rooms, and also recieved the conferming-Email. But the information that the Guesthouse recieved was only 4 rooms. Fortunately staff help friendly to arrange one more room even though they don't speak one word of English. great location, good breadfirst,elevator, a little big noise cours of the bar at Platz

Liked: The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. We were offered the choice of rooms at the front (great view, but a little noisy during the day) or the rear (with small balcony, very quiet but not much to look at). We took the latter and had a very nice three-bed room for the two of us at the same price as a double.The room was very neat, no particular frills but with a little tv, a reasonably sized bed and a good little bathroom. The shower pressure was awesome, nearly took me off my feet.The seagulls were a bit annoying at about 4am, but beyond that I have no complaints about Residencial Chique.We also stayed next-door at Residential Paulista and the two are very similar, though Paulista had slightly larger rooms and was just a little more 'polished' in my opinion. The views across the square were rather spectacular and definitely worth the noisier room. All come with curtains, sturdy windows and a pull-down metal shutter on the outside.
