Liked: The staff is increadibly friendly, and all the time prepared to help you with everything you might need. Besides that, the place is located 2 min walk from the center of night life in Porto (but you won't hear anything if you will go to bed earlier). Definitely a place where I will sleep again, if I go to porto again.

Disliked: No minuses worth mentioning.

Liked: Really nice and cozy old restored building. The staff is extremelly friedly and helpfull. The rooms are big and we had a nice balcony with a view to the square which was a bonus. The place is a bit uphill but in a super nice square, with bars and resaurants. On saturday nothere was also a flea market with good music and all.. Really good time in Porto!

Liked: Nice location just in the city centre, nice staff, cleanliness, great value for money. Suitable also for elderly people, not classical hostel. Good big (volume) simple continental breakfast (milk and cornflakes, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh bread, butter, marmalade), no ham or eggs. Nearby is covered parking, you can buy multiple in and out ticket for 24 hour parking on the reception desk for special price. If you are driving to this place, pay attention to a lot of one-way streets in the neighbourhood.

Disliked: The room was nice and situated to the calm shady backyard, was looking such a quiet place. But there was some restaurant and during the night it was sometimes (Porto won some important national football match) a little bit noisy place till early morning. The staff was very friendly, but speaks only English (no German). One of them very bad English :o)))

Disliked: - brakfast very poor only coffee, juice, milk, and to eat only brad and butter - they don´t clean the bathroom and the room in the 5 days that we stayed there

Liked: The lady who runs it is very friendly. She doesn't really speak English, but that doesn't matter, she's so experienced she'll know what you want. Also, the location is surprisingly good, with the university close it has many students hence bars/restaurants.

Disliked: It's not a place to meet people.

Liked: Very clean. Price was good. Had computer available with free internet access. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but value of hotel was great.

Liked: Family running Residencial San Marino were wonderful - friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent location within easy walking distance of the train station and main sites without being in the 'tourist district'. Bus station was a 30minute walk away. Supermarket and banking facilities close by.A basic breakfast was included in the rate.

Liked: the hostel/hotel was perferct for me, and i think the rating should be better!!! i spend NY night there, hotel was just few minutes walk from Aliada squer and we had party in the center and it was few minutes walk too, it was perfect! rooms was clean and they were cleaned every day, staff is wery helpful, they gave as everything we asked.. maybe for breakfest they can offer something more, couse we get tea or cofee and white bread with butter and jems.. and those who travel alot they know that it could be cornflakes or eggs.. then it would be better :)have fun..p.s. Liked: The location is prime and the price, was okay, even for a single private room. Unfortunately I had a room facing the back of the building (Im not sure why, because Im sure they werent so busy) and there is a kindergarden or something of the sort in the back, therefore quite a bit loud, but only during the day. The staff was super friendly, especially the younger man who spoke a bit of English and gave me detailed directions to a little grocery store nearby. Besides him however, no one really speaks any English, although this doesnt make them any less friendly. Overall, a nice little place and I would recommend the hostel (although more like a hotel) to anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet night and an enjoyable start in the morning with breakfast and some friendly smiles.

Liked: Nice place, cheap, good location, TV in the room, breakfast included.The only drawback is a really tiny bathroom, but in general I highly recommend it.
