Everything was fine with the hotel. The staff speaks English fluently and very helpful. The hotel is in the city center and the rooms were clean. They have a nice top balcony which offer great view…

Overview

Lagosmar Hotel is a family hotel renovated in 2009. The guest rooms are warmly decorated and include free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, lobby, 24-hour reception, lounge, bar, snooker room, breakfast room, laundry service, and a terrace with wonderful views of Lagos and the sea.

We’re located in the historical centre of Lagos at just 750 metres from the beach and 500 metres away from train station. Ideal for a relaxing holidays where everything you need is near. At a very short walking distance there is an elegant marina offering good cuisine and entertainment; its near the bus station and taxi stand.

In Lagos there are many places of interest for history lovers. For example, the Santo António church, the Mercado dos Escravos slave market dating from the 15th century and presently used as an art gallery and the Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, a beautiful 17th century fortress. Very interesting also is the traditional Portuguese pavement showing marine designs and the Arab influence in architecture seen on white washed houses.

Lagosmar Hotel is located in the historic seafaring city centre of Lagos, which was a starting port for Portuguese navigators in the time of Prince Henry the Navigator. It is at approxomately a seven minute walk from Batata’s beach and from approximatelly 11minutes on foot to Meia Praia Beach, one of the locals’ favourites.

Whatever means of transport you have used, you will be at a short walking distance from the hotel.
