About Hotel Santa Maria

The Hotel Santa Maria is located in the center of Faro, close to shopping and services area, and all the major historical and cultural sights.
With excellent road access allows quick and easy access to bus terminals, railway station, excellent access to the motorway A22 (Via do Infante) and only 10 minutes drive from Faro International Airport.
It offers covered parking within 50 meters of the unit (subject to charge).
The Hotel has 60 rooms over 5 floors including a Junior Suite and 1 room adapted for physically disabled or difficulties. A Restaurant, Lobby Bar, Coffee Shop and Snack bar complete the offer of services.
The reception of the Hotel can give you all the information you need to complement your stay whether it is for cultural activities, recreational sports or even arrange for car or bike rental.
You can also get a ticket for the boat to Ria Formosa Park Islands, available for an additional cost.

Rua de Santo António, the main shopping street, is the ideal place to start your visit in Faro. It is only a 20 meters from the hotel and offers an array of shops and dinning options, where you can taste some of the best Algarve cuisine and regional sweets.
Only a 200 meters from the hotel you will find the Manuel Bolívar Garden, situated near from the marina. This is one of the most popular sites in the Algarve’s capital for family tours and tourists all around the world.
Within a radius of 700 meters you will find a variety of different sights, such as Church of Mercy, Town Arch, Faro Municipal Museum, Faro Cathedral, Bishop's Palace, Episcopal Seminarym, Faro Castle, São Francisco Church, Repouso Arch, Belmarço Palace, Hermitage of Nossa Senhora do Pé da Cruz, Alameda Jõao de Deus Garden and Ramos Rosa Municipal Library. For entertainment or shopping and dinning, you can also visit the Faro Municipal Theatre and Fórum Algarve Shopping Centre, a 8 and 9 minutes drive respectively.
Besides the excellence of the civil and religious buildings’ architecture, Faro is known for its natural conditions that allow the practice of nautical and nature tourism. In order to enjoy the islands of Ria Formosa Natural Park, one of the Portuguese 7 Natural Wonders, you can ask for information at the hotel’s reception.
