Liked: Peaceful place away from the busy areas of Boracay and nice green surroundings.

Disliked: Too little electric light in the room. Parts of the room were very difficult to see properly even in daylight.

Liked: the staff was nice - like everywhere on Boracay

Disliked: if you have an enemy and your goal is to spoil his vacation on Boracay - the best way is to recommend this resort.. It was our biggest disappointment and we left after 3 days in this "little paradise". There is a building under construction just behind the property, besides, right now Melinda's Garden is being renovated. So, from the early morning is was terribly noisy, dozen of workers were always on the territory. After work they occupied the lounge near the reception, were talking, watching TV, eating. Every day we had a surprise: one day without water, next day without electricity. Cottages look very nice from outside, but inside it is always very dark (one tiny window). If you're going to stay there for more than 1 night - bring your own linen and towels, because the stuff provided is old, with stains and holes. Be careful with the payment: they refused to accept a credit card and demanded immediate payment by cash (peso) as soon as we arrived. I asked for receipt, but they refused to give it.

Liked: Good location a minute away from the quiet end of the beach. The hammock on the deck was a great place to relax and take a break from the sun. Traditional huts were a nice change from all the other large resorts we saw on our trip. Staff was great, nice little bar that serves breakfast and a little massage hut on site where you could order a cheap massage at any time. Another great little bar out front next to the beach for cheap cheap drinks, great pancakes and sun loungers. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on Boracay.

Disliked: Some people may not appreciate that there is no hot water (at least in the cabin we stayed in) but they did bring a thermos full of hot water to make coffee with or wash up with whatever every morning. Bug net over the bed wasn't exactly sealed tight. Spray some bug spray on before bed!

Liked: it is by far the best place we saw for as long as we were in Boracay, very convenient location, not noisy, kitsch atmosphere of 1st and 2nd boat stations, but mostly the rooms were amazing, so romantic and clean every day, it's the only real bungalow i saw! ideal for couples but friends also, great common area, bar with nice cheap drinks but food also! I must go back. the people are great also!

Liked: This place was really fun to stay at. Cottages in the jungle (at least it felt that way), yet close to famous White Beach. Clean rooms, friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere--a very nice and truly unique place. The cottages are made of bamboo, and some do not have glass windows, so occasionally, one might find a lizard or some other cute animal inside the room. Nothing to worry about though: those animals are very shy and tend to disappear immediately when they sense a human. I had booked for one night only but ended up staying five nights. Definitely recommended.

Liked: The uniqueness. It was a really cool atmosphere. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The cats around the property were nice and cute!

Disliked: There was no hot water and our shower-head didn't really work, so we showered out of a bucket of cold water all week. Our cabin was also kind of run down and the sheets and towels were very old and stained. But i think there were nicer cabins we could have paid more for. The dog living at the property was not friendly and the roosters crowing all day long were kind of annoying.

Liked: The rooms were basic but very clean...The atomosphere was very quiet and relaxing with beautiful gardens all around. The staff were so friendly and always available for anything, no matter the time of day.

Disliked: There wasn't anything to dislike...everything was as expected!

Liked: I had my own cottage with a veranda, hammock, and the bare essentials. It felt rustic and homey - just what I was looking for. The gardens that surround the property are amazing, and the walk to the beach is literally 2 minutes. It was excellent. I never met anyone else who was staying at the hostel, but I was also out the majority of the day. However, it didn't seem easy to meet anyone had that been my goal. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is the perfect place (but mind the roosters crowing in the early morning).

Liked: It is really close to Paradise. 2mins from the most beautiful and quite beach. The sea is amusing, the sand is white and the beach is surrounded by coconut palms which give you a fantastic view close to a Hollywood movie. Amusing tropical garden full of fruit trees and coconut palms. The cottages are made of Bamboo and coconut leaves with a bathroom made of stone and a fantastic veranda with hammock tables and bamboo chairs where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding tropical garden. The staff is so helpful and friendly. They even give you beach mats, books and fresh coconuts directly from the tree if you ask for them. The German owner a is great friendly person. The internet is available 24hrs at cheap price. It hard to describe it but if you really like nature you are going to have an amusing relaxing experience. This is what you really need if you are having a stressful life back home.The area is the quietest area of the Ireland but at the same time not so far from the nightlife area with plenty of entertainments, restaurants and night shows. Everything is quite cheap there. Transport around the Ireland only costs few pennies. Tattoos are very cheap there as well as massages. The food is great and the fresh fish is amusing at cheap prices. It is really worth to try the fresh coconut as a drink and a meal as well as other tropical fruits like mangoes and papayas which test great there. This place is ideal if you like healthy food and raw food diet. You can eat for as little as 1 euro per meal and 5 euro for an amusing "Eat all you can" fish dinner with plenty of fresh Oysters. The tour of the Ireland by boat is costs only 20euro for about 4 hours and you can even do snorkelling. If you are travelling alone (I was not unfortunately ;) ) it is so easy to find a nice company as local girls really love western people and they will come to chat you up. What else you want from an Holiday?

Liked: Nice quiet place with a nice quiet beach. The PickUp Service is not worth the Money because its around 300 Peso for two persons if you do itt on your own. But the place is definitly good to stay and relax.

Liked: Fresh sheets, towels (including beach towels) everyday. Comfortable bed, free use of beach mats, clean washroom with TP,friendly staff, garden atmosphere, hammock on veranda, characterof cottage, two min. walk to beach, close to great restaurants and bars and shopping.

Liked: A piece of natural atmosphere hidden away from the monstruous upscale concrete hotels on the island. Made us feel at least a little that we actually were on a tropical island.
