We welcome you to Alumbung, Danao, Panglao Island, Bohol Philippines!! (Walking distance to the beach and only minutes from Alona). Come and stay in one of our four secluded and comfortable Lumbungs (traditional Balinese style cottage with a Filipino touch) where we make the most of outdoor living.
Perfect for a week-end retreat or a few weeks diving or exploring the island, our cottages have been inspired by our many trips throughout Asia.

The Alumbungs is a small tropical garden approximately 20km away from Tagbilaran, three minutes ride from the renowned Alona Beach and only walking distance to Danao Beach. The special shape of the villas roof is derived from the typical Balinese Lumbung structure where the upper part of each cottage served as storage and the bottom part as a meeting place for the family.

Our showers have strong pressure and are fresh water. The villas have hot water.

Accommodation Information

The Tropical villa's upper floor brings you a spacious room and the ground floor perfect for lounging around or preparing a meal. The villa's 60sqm native-modern houses are all tiled at the ground floor, while the first floor has mahogany. Sleeping is done upstairs in an ultra rustic bedroom under the steep soaring arch of the Lumbung roof, while the ground floor is reserved for the kitchen, bathroom and lanai where you can take a rest in your own native hammock. The villa's bedrooms have two double beds. The kitchen has a large refrigerator, 2 burner gas stoves, and all the essentials for you to prepare a meal. It has a Television with local channels and a DVD player is available for rent along with movies, the bedroom has air-con and the shower is hot and cold.

The Balinese cottage is built following the same concept but can only accommodate two persons. Here also you can relax in your own hammock and we provide you with a water kettle if you wish to prepare some tea or coffee.

Alumbung Tropical Living is located in Barangay Danao, Panglao, in a lush garden setting. Only 5 minutes walk from the sea and 20 minutes walk from the famous Alona beach in the island of Panglao, Bohol.
