Liked: the hotel may have been built in the 60's. needs alittle TLC ,over all good value for the money. 24hr. reasturant, food excellent, big rooms, cable for computers in rooms. great place. I'm extending my stay here. would stay here again.

Liked: security and staff very good. lots ofpeople long term stay good atmosphere

Disliked: Run down. dog living upstairs shit in corrider. very very noisy aircon. had to change tv phone not working. I moved out stayed at brassknob same price much much better.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: It was far from the airport (Clark) . Dirty and old. Full of old man with prostitute at the bar. Location is scary. Worst hotel i have been in the last 8 months of my trip.

Liked: the rooms are always comfortable and affordable, good value for money. the staff are pleasant and accommodating. the neighborhood is nice too, pleasant people in the vicinity, even the tricycle riders are nice.

Disliked: It looks a little run down but that doesn`t detract from the pleasantness of the hotel

Liked: Very good value - and I stayed by myself in a room for two. Pool and 24 hour bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. I ended up having most of my meals and drinks in the hotel (outside by the pool) which I don't normally; but with beers about $1 and meals under $5 and such a pleasent setting - why not? Also there was a free hourly shuttlebus into town between 1pm and midnight.

Disliked: Somes rooms were slightly dated. TV wiring was a little faulty.

Liked: I find the casual atmosphere relaxing.

Disliked: One has to pass through an area which is dusty to get to the hotel, but then again, Angeles City is one dusty place.

Liked: its a reasonable priced hotel, not a hostel, the hotel has everything that you might need for your stay, a very friendly staff, refridgerator, air conditioning, hot and cold water, reasonable fast internet access, 756 k download 360 k upload. A good restaurant, the food is more then sufficient, usually could only eat half. Very tasty and a multitude of different foods. A reasonable large swimming pool. So what could you possible want more.

Disliked: During very heavy rain the net access failed a few times, I believe that the telephone exchange good flooded out. The access to the hotel server stayed ok. Also could use a heavier bed sheet.

Liked: It is my third time to stay at the ponderosa. I like it because the rooms are affordable yet really comfortable. the staff are kind and helpful and friendly. It is close enough to the things to do without being in the middle of them. I like how they have redone the office area and having access to the internet on site is a bonus. I never took advantage of it, but I think it is also great that they have tour advise available too. I may make use of it in future stays.

Disliked: I was a bit disappointed that the pool table was not up and running and the pool water tasted a little funny so i wondered with all the rain falling whether it had been properly maintained with changes in the water balance due to the rain. for that reason i didnt stay in the pool as long as i originally planned. anyway, neither of these things really mattered as i wasnt there really to play pool or swim.

Liked: Good restaurant and very nice swimming pool, helpful receptionists. Travel agency is on site but if you are going to see Pinatubu volcano book early as a trip starts in the very morning. A little far from main streets but it is easy to hire tricycle, 10 minutes ride. Guest friendly and a good value gor money.

Liked: Greeted by the smiling staff who were very informative and helpful regarding our onward travel plans, we soon realised that that is where the joy ended. The hotel itself was run down and smelt like old farts. And that’s what you had walking around there too, old sleezy looking ex service men with a beautiful young Filipina next to their sparetyre. Welcome to Angeles. The size of our room was standard, but with no natural light made it feel like a grotty little cave with an airconditioner vibrating like a taifuun. The bathroom was the type you did not want to spend too much time in. Lined with cracked tiles and dodgy plaster jobs, the spitting shower was accompanied by a toilet with stagnant water and permastains. But the Ponderosa experience did not end there. The double bed was extremely lumpy and saggy from broken springs, if you like to wake up feeling like you’ve been in a wrestling match and lost, you might just find some comfort in it. As a photographer, I was impressed at the photos taken of the swimming pool, as in reality it looks decades older in its uninviting murkiness. The food was overpriced for what it was but atleast the staff was friendly. The second best thing about the place was the safe facility, which was behind two doors and two locks, probably for good reasons. The best thing about the place was leaving it.

Liked: I really liked the Ponderosa Hotel, the staff really went out of their way & were super-nice, it was reasonably close to Clark Airport, the food in their restaurant was really good value, the pool was good, the hourly bus/jeepnay service is really convienient and (I feel) a lot safer then catching taxi's in that area at night.If I was in Angeles again, I would stay there again.

Liked: I liked the friendliness of the staff and the food was really good.It was a value for money Hotel and I guess as with everything in life you get what you pay for, so although the hotel was good in many aspects I was diasappointed with the quality of the bathroom.

Liked: It was my second time to stay at the Ponderosa. I like the food in the restaurant, the helpfulness and kindness of the staff was also appreciated. My stay was very good value for money, not expensive but more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel catered to my every need. I will defenitely stay there if I go to Angeles again.

Liked: From the first day, I liked the holiday atmosphere there. I really felt from the time I sat down in the pool area, that I was finally on holiday. It was such a comfortable atmosphere. The area around the pool was my favorite spot. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. the food at the restaurant was really great too and one meal I had brought me fond memories of my mother's cooking.
