Liked: Very stylish colonial hotel which has been beautifully restored. The staff are all very nice and helpful and the lady owner delightful. Invited us to free breakfast when we arrived early in the morning and upgraded us to a lovely suite on the top floor. (I had only book a normal double room).

Liked: Good location of the hotel. This is an actual hotel, so don't think you'll find the same atmosphere as in a hostel. The hotel is of excellent quality; big rooms, really clean bathroom, every day cleaned, new towels, good breakfast. The guy at the reception gave some good tips on where to eat in the neighborhood.

Liked: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! They made the hotel a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day. They went out of their way!

Disliked: It is in the downtown area and not far from some seedy neighborhoods, but there are several hotels in the area so tourists are accommodated with nearby restaurants, bars, convenience stores, bus lines, taxis, etc. The streets feel safe at night, especially if you are traveling with others. Some rooms are better than others. We didn't like the layout of the first room they put us in and they cheerfully moved us.

Liked: Our room was huge, very clean and modern. We booked a shared bathroom but actually got our own ensuite for no extra cost. The hotel is in a beautiful old building with a roof terrace - a great place to watch the sun set with a cold beer. Breakfast was included and was pretty good.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite with a private bath. The room was immaculately clean and a great value for the money.

Disliked: The property was quite a distance from the bus station and shopping malls.

Liked: Delightful owners and staff. Nice building and ambience. Good brekky. Easy walk into the centre of town. We stayed an extra 3 days. Upper floors are quieter

Disliked: the one big downfall is the noise from the heavy traffic in the street, sounds like, the buses are right next to you

Liked: It is a charming, older building with lots of character. the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: It is VERY noisy at night. The street and nearby bars seem to be going non-stop.

Liked: The staff were vwry helpful and even though it is a a few blocks from the main squares it is very easy to see all the sites. Also since it is popular with volunteers in Paraguay it's easy to meet people over breakfast that can provide tips on travel and where to go. All in all I loved my stay here and would return to the APH on my next trip to Asuncion!

Liked: Ich war eine Nacht im Palace Hotel und ich war zu 100% zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr schoen eingerichtet. Durch die Lage waren diverse sehenswuerigkeiten gut zu erreichen . Ich wurde sehr nett empfangen und mir wurde auch sehr geholfen mich in der Stadt zurechtzufinden. Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Liked: Good place located in the middle of the old center of the city. Really nice and clean rooms. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Good communication to anywhere by bus and by foot to the main sightseeings. Only a little bit noisy during the night due to loud engine buses and people partying nearby.

Liked: Nice old place but well maitained had a room with a balcony The lady durring the day speaks the most english but I got by with everyone else no worries about Asuncion stay at the Place I will again it is wise to book ahead I stayed a second nite a few days later and got the last room and that only av for one nite this room was really nice Big only a few dollars more

Liked: In a town with very little to do in the weekends, you really appreciate things like wifi in the rooms and a staff ready to guide you to the few attractions that are available. Some noise from traffic and local bars in weekends to be expected, but that comes with living in the center of the cheapest capitol in the world.
