Marnix Hotel and Hostel

Marnix Hotel is two stars hotel located the heart of Amsterdam centre with the Leidsplein, Holland casino, Vondel Park, the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum in the direct surrounding. The famous Dam square and Anne Frank House are all within walking distance.

The Marnix Hotel is a two stars hotel located in the heart centre of Amsterdam next to the famous Leidseplein (Leidse Square), THE hot spot of nightlife in Amsterdam with many bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants in the direct area.

The Marnix hotel offers a nice and cosy lobby to spend some time while emailing your friends/family, reading or just watching TV. Our friendly receptionists will be more than happy to provide you with any tourist information and guide you to the city attractions.

Our hotel is located in an 125-year old building (it is built in 1883 and this is considered a young building compared to other buildings in the centre of Amsterdam) and therefore we don't have an elevator in the building. There are stairs in here, but they are typical Amsterdam stairs (aka a bit steep and narrow).

Please remember, this is a no smoking hotel. We have no problem of smoking outside or at the designated smoking area in the neighborhood, but please don't do it inside our hotel. As our guests have different sleeping times, please keep the noise down after 11.30 PM, basically we advice to 'party outside and relax inside'. Also, the prices mentioned are based on cash payment. If you choose to pay with credit card, then an additional fee of 5% will be charged extra.

Bookings and cancellations:
The Marnix hotel does not charge you in advance.
Our cancellation policy dictates 48 hours advanced notification prior to arrival. Cancellation need to be done by e-mail. Cancellation by phone will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT: Our check-in desk will close at 21.00, but if you expect to check-in later than that, please notify us. Otherwise we can't guarantee that your room/bed will be available anymore.
