Liked: Breakfast was GREAT. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and comfortable.

Disliked: Location wasn't perfect, but well conected to the centre by tram and night bus (20 minutes). The stairs are very steep, but it seems that's the way they are in Amsterdam.

Liked: The wifi connection in the room was good. Breakfast was included, and very nice.

Disliked: We had a private twin room which felt a bit squeezy because there was about only 50cm walking space between the two beds. The spiral stairs were really scary because each flight had many steps and each step was not deep enough to fit the whole foot and we were almost getting giddy walking on them.

Liked: Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, located on a quiet street, easy to find, the bicycles we rent were in very good condition (totally worth the money), nice breakfast, hot water all the time. A good low-budget choice overall.

Disliked: Pretty far away from the historical centre of the city, thought it was closer (about 20 minutes by bicycle, over an hour by foot). Didn't check where De Pijp District is on the map though, before booking. Double private room was just enough for two persons and their stuff (would like a little more space). Finally the stairs, were narrow and steep, wouldn't recommend this for elder people or people with disabilities.

Liked: The location was great. The fact they hire bikes to you and do not state a return by time is really useful. We hired bikes from 10am - 10pm.

Liked: Bicylcle hotel had character. Friendly staff made us feel like arriving back home. Also great location for those (like myself) who don't care too much for the hassle in central amsterdam. Close enough for everything even if not located in the buzz of it. A big + for having computer for customer use. Not just the wifi.

Disliked: Does have quite steep stairs, but isn't alone with that fault in amsterdam.

Liked: The staff was friendly, and helpful. It was close to the center. And it was great that we could rent bikes.

Liked: We had a nice breakfast. The hostel was clean and the staff were friendly. The hostel wasn't central, but the central part of Amsterdam is swarming with noisy tourists in the summer, and the tram is not expensive and goes to very nearby.

Disliked: Steep Stairs... apart from that not a lot!

Liked: Great location, renting bikes was a real plus and lots of fun, in a beautiful area, only a few minutes from the centre but not too close so you don't get all the touristy bustle and noise and dirt that you get in the centre. The staff were very helpful, the building was quaint (be careful on the stairs) and clean and the breakfast room was very nice. The breakfast was nice and healthy and plentiful.

Disliked: The shower drain was clogged so you showered in two inches of muck, but it was bearable.

Liked: Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location, safe and quiet area, nice park just round corner, all local amenities.

Disliked: Hotel could do with a spring clean and a kettle in each room. Stairs are very steep so if you're elderly, or bad knees, avoid.

Liked: Cheap bike hire, good directions, great breakfast, good quiet location out of the hustle. The place was clean and nice

Disliked: Wifi didn't work, rooms quite small but all and all a good spot.

Liked: the rooms were nice and breakfest ok. I could go there again. Good if you have a budjet :)

Disliked: Location is not excellent but you can take a tram to the centre

Liked: Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, free internet.

Disliked: A little bit far from city centre to walk. But fortunately the connection by tram was good, so it is not such imperfection. ;-)

Liked: Breakfast area but the breakfast wasn't many choices. Has 2 computers, it was nice to be able to check emails/ Facebook

Disliked: The narrow stairway... very unsteady stairs ~not suitable for heavey luggage. I didn't like our room to be at the top. difficult use the stairs if you have big feet!

Liked: The room was so much more than we expected, really clean and light, felt a lot bigger than it actually was. The bed was really comfy and the location was excellent for travellers who wanted to come back after a long day and relax.

Disliked: The stairs are definitley worth a mention. We were on the first floor so it wasn't really an issue. But they are very steep so I might not have the same view if I was on the third floor! Other than that, nothing to complain about.

Liked: No luxury, but small price. You can rent bikes. You have a very good breakfast. And they give you cheese and bread, so you can make sandwiches for lunch. When you're a student with a limited budget, this is really good.

Disliked: My bike broke. I had to park it and we had to visit by foot. We were reemboursed on the following day, but on the night we went back to the hotel, the person in charge told us the manager was on vacation, that she ned to call him, blablabla... And that we were even not sure to get our money back,because we had not came back right after the tyre exploded. Even though we got our money on the following day, I think people should be able to make simple decisions when they are obvious.

Liked: super friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and fresh rooms. fair walk from the redlight district but has awesome markets and coffee shop (katsu) just a few streets away

Disliked: uncomfy pillows and mattress but cant really remember going to bed so no biggy, no real communal room only time you see other guests is at breakfast
